The Realme Neo 8 is scheduled to launch in China on January 12 at 2:30pm local time (12pm IST). The upcoming handset will feature Samsung’s display with support for up to 165Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the phone was recently spotted on the Geekbench database, revealing the key specs.

According to the listing, the smartphone is expected to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K Samsung AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, it could be paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, along with the Adreno 829 GPU. It is likely to run Android 16 out of the box.
In terms of optics, the Realme Neo 8 could offer a 50MP primary camera with OIS and a periscope lens supporting up to 120x digital zoom, while the front houses a 16MP selfie camera. The device is tipped to pack a massive 8,000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support. Other features will include a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, and a premium metal frame. Moreover, the phone is expected to come in a Cyber Purple colour.
