Samsung’s next big event might happen a little later than usual. According to a report from Monday Today, citing people familiar with the company’s plans, the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event is reportedly scheduled for February 25, 2026, in San Francisco. The showcase is said to focus heavily on AI-powered features, with the company expected to unveil the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra.

Galaxy Unpacked Returns to San Francisco
If this timeline holds, it’ll mark Samsung’s first Unpacked event in San Francisco in three years — the last one took place in 2023. A company official reportedly told Monday Today that the city has “emerged as the center of AI,” making it the ideal venue for the company’s next major launch.
Samsung typically hosts its Unpacked events around late January or early February, so this slight delay could be linked to internal scheduling changes. Reports suggest the brand adjusted its product roadmap after scrapping plans for a Galaxy S26 Pro and S26 Edge, following the weaker sales performance of the S25 Edge earlier this year.
What to Expect From the Galaxy S26 Lineup
The Galaxy S26 lineup is expected to bring a familiar three-model structure: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
In select regions, these devices will reportedly use Samsung’s Exynos 2600 chip built on a 2nm process, while other markets will see Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 at the core.

Recently leaked specs suggest the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a 6.9-inch Quad HD M14 OLED display with an AI-enabled privacy screen, alongside a 5,400mAh battery. The phone could pack a quad-camera setup that includes:
- a 200MP primary sensor,
- a refreshed ultrawide camera,
- a 50MP telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom, and
- either a 12MP 3x or 50MP 3x additional zoom lens.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 and S26+ are expected to feature 6.3-inch and 6.7-inch Quad HD M14 OLED panels, respectively. Both could offer triple rear cameras with 50MP main and ultrawide sensors, and a 12MP 3x telephoto lens, paired with 4,300mAh and 4,900mAh batteries.
