Ever since the very first chapter of the story, Devil Fruits have been cemented as the most important aspect of the entire One Piece power system. This is because these mysterious fruits act as the conduits for some amazing abilities, allowing the user to go from weak to incredibly powerful just by eating them.

Over the course of One Piece, there have been numerous powerful Devil Fruits that have made their owners some of the strongest beings in the series. However, there are 4 specific fruits that are not only the strongest in the franchise, but also the most important, so let’s take a look at what these are.

One Piece: The Strongest Alliance In The Final War, Explained

Luffy and Loki have shown that they are going to be the most powerful alliance in the Final War of the One Piece series!

The Gomu Gomu no Mi Is The Legendary Sun God Nika Fruit

    Users: Luffy, Joyboy

What fans had originally believed to be a simple rubber Paramecia was eventually revealed to be one of the most powerful Devil Fruits in the world. More than that, this Devil Fruit essentially had the power to make anything that the user thought of come true, giving them some sort of reality-warping abilities that made them untouchable.

For thousands of years, even before the Void Century, a myth existed in the One Piece world about the mythical Sun God Nika. Though accounts vary, Nika is generally remembered as a great liberator, bringing laughter and freedom to all the subjugated and oppressed people on the planet. This myth persisted from the First World and was likely even a huge part of the Second World as well.

When it came into the possession of Joyboy, the common consensus among fans was that the pirate traveled to every corner of the globe and freed people from oppression and played a huge part in shaping the world as we know it in the current age. However, it seems that he was defeated by Imu.

Joyboy’s legacy is now manifested within Luffy as the Sun God of the modern era. As is told in the Harley Texts and Elbaf mural, it is known that ‘Nika’ will play a huge role in fixing the world and is destined to fight the great enemy at the end of all things, which makes the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika one of the most important fruits in One Piece.

The Admirals are the strongest characters in the Navy, but there are a few characters who could even beat them!

Elbaf’s Legendary Fruit Is The Fruit Of The Great Destroyer

    Users: Loki

Chapter 1174 of the One Piece manga showed one of the most anticipated reveals in the entire story, with Loki’s legendary Devil Fruit, which supposedly rivals Luffy’s own, finally being revealed. Of course, its name and full abilities aren’t known at the current moment, but fans have surmised that it is one of the most powerful fruits in history.

Not only does it give Loki the ability to seemingly control the weather, but it also turns him into perhaps the largest being in the entire franchise, with only Zunesha challenging him in scope. This incredible dragon form was first teased in the Elbaf Mural but had no corresponding mention in the Harley Texts, so fans were always left scratching their heads about what that figure may have been until Chapter 1174 was released.

I am the Sun God who will bring about the end of the world!

This also makes sense as to why this specific fruit was the legendary treasure of Elbaf, since only a worthy Giant could make full use of its abilities and size, which is likely the way it played out back in the Void Century as well. However, this raises an important question: what was the role of this massive destroyer?

Due to his titanic size and otherworldly powers, this incredible dragon may have actually been a destroyer of the world, or he could have been a vital ally to Nika or Joyboy. Only time will tell what the true role of this Devil Fruit will be, but it’s quite clearly set to be one of the greatest powers in the One Piece world.

The Ruler Of The World Has The Literal Devil’s Fruit

    Users: Imu

The Elbaf arc of One Piece has really upped the power scaling of the series. By showing the Holy Knights and the Giants of Elbaf, the characters involved in this arc are collectively some of the most powerful in the setting, and it’s quite clear that the events on this island are essentially the beginning of the Final War.

However, none have been able to compare to the unbounded and terrifying strength of Imu, who has made their appearance on the island by possessing Gunko. Of course, fans have always known that Imu was going to be the ultimate threat in the setting, but none could have predicted how overpowered and terrifying their abilities truly were, as they have been able to turn the Elbaf Giants into even stronger, demonic versions of themselves, possess anyone they want, and make horrifying pacts and contracts with others, which even gives their subordinates incredible abilities.

One Piece: 6 Groups Stronger Than The Holy Knights

There are many powerful groups in One Piece, and many of them are far stronger than even the Holy Knights.

Imu was the great villain of the Void Century as well and has ruled over the world ever since that time period ended. They are most likely represented by the massive demon on the left side of the Elbaf Mural, which implies that they will be the ultimate villain at the end of the series.

Of course, this power is bestowed upon Imu through a mysterious but incredibly powerful Devil Fruit. The name is still a mystery though its abilities have been on full display during this arc. Because of its ability to make contracts and its demonic appearance, fans believe it to be a literal ‘Devil’ Fruit.

The Hellfire Serpent Has The Greatest Power In The World

    User: Unknown

In the entire Elbaf Mural and Harley Texts, the most confusing aspect was the Hellfire Serpent. Depicted on the right side of the mural, this massive fire-breathing serpent seemed to be fighting with the great dragon at the top, and was spoken about in the texts as one of the most important and powerful beings in the setting.

However, none have seen such a foe, nor has there even been a Devil Fruit or any other power that indicates its existence. Although, a common belief is that the Hellfire Serpent was the ultimate villain of the First World who fought against the original Nika and subsequently ended it, and now, lies dormant to somehow be used again in the Final War, most likely on the side of Imu.

The Earth God was enraged, and together with the Serpent of Hellfire, shrouded the world in death and darkness.

Admittedly, this is quite speculative, but the way it is shown in the Elbaf Mural implies that Loki is going to have a huge and important battle in the Final War against the only other enemy that can challenge him, which currently seems to be this massive serpent which is just as big, if not bigger, than Loki’s dragon form.

Many even believe that this Hellfire Serpent has something to do with, or simply is, the Red Line itself, since the size would check out. Plus, the lore of Elbaf has said that the Giants not only hate the Red Line, but also fear it. Currently, it’s impossible to know how Oda will work this into the story, but it’s very possible for the Hellfire Serpent to be a central villain in the Final War.

One Piece can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
