The Vivo V70 series has been the talk of the town for a while now. The brand hasn’t shared any details regarding its next-generation V-series smartphones yet. However, reports have already started buzzing, suggesting that the series is expected to include at least two models for now—the Vivo V70 and the Vivo V70 Elite.
In the latest development, the launch timeline, along with a few more details about the Vivo V70 series, has surfaced online. Let’s check out –
Vivo V70 series India launch Timeline Tipped
According to a report by SmartPrix, Vivo is expected to launch the Vivo V70 series in India by mid-February. For the first time in the V series, the lineup will come with deep integration of expertise from ZEISS, Sony, vivo, and Qualcomm, the publication added.
The V70 series is said to combine ZEISS’s lens technology with Sony’s large-format sensors, Vivo is aiming to significantly improve light sensitivity and image clarity. The report further stated that the hardware will be complemented by Vivo’s proprietary AI-driven image-processing algorithms, designed to handle complex lighting conditions, positioning the V70 series as a “pocket studio” for mobile photographers.
On the software front, the Vivo V70 and V70 Elite are tipped to be the first in the series to ship with OriginOS 6 out of the box. The update is expected to bring a more fluid and premium user experience through features such as Origin Island, Office Kit, Flip Cards, and more. Additionally, the Vivo V70 Elite is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s highest-performing processor ever used in a V-series smartphone.
Apart from this, nothing is known at this moment. However, rumours suggest that the standard Vivo V70 could be a rebranded version of the Vivo S50. If this turns out to be true, the standard model will offer a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,600 nits HBM brightness. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
For imaging, the phone will get a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, while the front will house a 50MP selfie camera. It could also pack a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W fast wired charging. Since there is no confirmation regarding the same, we’d suggest our readers take this with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more information in the coming days.
