How to Fix the Forge in Eternal Strands
Base Upgrades
In order to unlock the Forge, you will first need to speak to Casmyn at her caravan and complete the Treading Water quest, which is very simple.
Basically, you just need to use all those items you collected on your expedition and Salvage them with Casmyn. Doing this will give you Camp Supplies used for station upgrades at home base.
Go ahead and salvage ten items to get 10 Camp Supplies (we just turned in some Iron since that seems to be a very common resource).
After that, speak to Casmyn again and choose ‘Upgrade Station.’ By using those 10 supplies we just made, you can now upgrade Sola’s Forge from level 1 to level 2, allowing Brynn to upgrade her equipment to level 2.

How to Get Stronger
Now that the Forge has been unlocked, go ahead and speak to Sola as part of the Honing the Edge quest. She will give you Yellow Linen, Red Iron, and Rehn-Treated Hide, which are things that can be used to enhance your equipment.
Speak to Sola again and choose the Reforge option.

Choose the piece of gear you would like to Reforge (this is how you upgrade your equipment in Eternal Strands). You can click around and see which resources you can use to influence the stats of your gear.
Depending on the type of resources you use, the stats that will change are Weapon Power, Weight, Heat Resistance, and Cold Resistance. The higher the rarity of the item you use, the better the odds are of getting more powerful equipment.
You can also use Sola to craft entirely new pieces of gear. Sometimes, it might be worth your while to just make a strong weapon instead of trying to upgrade older equipment.
Also, make sure to visit Casmyn later to upgrade more stations. For example, you can hold more items in your inventory while out on a quest if you upgrade the Caravan itself. Of course, you’ll need Camp Supplies to do so.
