The electric two-wheeler sector in India is increasingly dominated by a competition between Bajaj and TVS, with Bajaj leading by 4,200 units. In fiscal year 2025, Bajaj Auto reported wholesale sales of 277,183 electric two-wheelers, while TVS Motors sold 273,063.
Bajaj’s figures include 17,150 units from Yulu bike sales. However, regarding individual models, TVS Motors outsold Bajaj Auto, selling 273,063 iQube scooters to Bajaj’s 260,033 Chetaks in FY2025.
Both TVS and Bajaj Auto have seen significant growth in the electric two-wheeler market. According to SIAM data, TVS saw a remarkable 44 percent year-on-year increase in FY2025, selling 189,896 iQubes in FY2024. In contrast, Bajaj Auto saw an impressive 125 percent increase in sales from FY2024, reaching 115,627 units in the previous year.

Depending on the variant, the Bajaj Chetak electric scooters have battery capacities ranging from 2.8 to 3.5 kWh. For example, the Chetak 3501 and 3502 variants have 3.5 kWh batteries, the Chetak 2903 has 2.8 kWh batteries, and the Chetak 2902/3201 variants have 3.2 kWh batteries.
On the other hand, the TVS iQube offers a variety of battery options and corresponding ranges. The base model iQube, with a 2.2 kWh battery, claims a range of 75 km, while the larger 3.4 kWh battery version claims a range of 100 km. The TVS iQube ST variant, which comes with a 5.1 kWh battery, has an even longer range of 150 kilometers.
TVS and Bajaj’s success can be attributed to their strong brand reputations, well-established distribution networks, robust R&D capabilities, and reliable after-sales support.
