Mumbai, 23rd April 2025: The Bharat New Car Assessment Programme, also known as Bharat NCAP, has officially approved seven Tata Motors vehicles, including the Curvv, Nexon EV, Safari, and Harrier, all of which have received 5-star safety ratings for superior protection of adult and child occupants.
The 5-star rating now applies to all variants of the Tata Nexon EV, particularly the new 45 kWh Long Range variants, which have also received a 5-star rating from BNCAP.
A senior company official announced the development, stating, “The Tata Nexon ev 4S has attained a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP, ensuring that all variants in the Nexon.ev lineup meet 5-star compliance according to BNCAP standards.”
Bharat NCAP rates vehicles on their ability to protect passengers in crashes, including side and frontal impacts, as well as the safety of child occupants.
Notably, the Tata Curvv EV received a score of 30.81 out of 32 for adult protection and 44.83 out of 49 for child protection. The Tata Nexon EV received scores of 29.86 out of 32 for adult protection and 44.95 out of 49 for child protection, making it an excellent choice for environmentally conscious drivers looking for high safety scores.
The Tata Punch EV was given a score of 31.46 out of 32 for adult occupant protection and 45 out of 49 for child protection.

Furthermore, the Tata Curvv ICE version received 29.50 out of 32 for adult protection and 43.66 out of 49 for child protection, while the Tata Nexon ICE version received 29.41 out of 32 for adult protection and 43.83 out of 49 for child protection, confirming its status as one of the safest compact SUVs available.
