Samsung has expanded its One UI 8.5 beta program to more Galaxy devices, and users in India are among the first to try it. If you’re using a supported phone and want early access to new features, you can install the beta through Samsung’s official channel.

Eligible Samsung Phones In India

The latest One UI 8.5 beta expansion includes a mix of older flagships and one mid-range device. As of now, the beta is available for:

• Galaxy S23 series
• Galaxy Z Fold5
• Galaxy Z Flip5
• Galaxy S23 FE
• Galaxy A36 5G

The Galaxy A36 5G is notable here, as it’s the first A-series device to be included in a One UI 8.5 beta rollout.

How To Register For One UI 8.5 Beta

Samsung is offering the beta through its Samsung Members app.

1. Open the Samsung Members app on your phone
2. Look for the One UI 8.5 beta banner on the home screen
3. Tap on it and register for the program
4. Once enrolled, wait for the update notification

If you don’t see the banner right away, it could take some time as the rollout expands.

How To Update Your Galaxy Phone

What’s New In One UI 8.5 Beta

One of the major changes in this beta is an update to Samsung’s Quick Share feature. The company is expanding cross-platform file sharing for AirDrop, allowing supported Galaxy devices to transfer files with Apple iPhone, iPad, and MacBook.

This feature, however, is limited to select premium devices, including the Galaxy S25 and S24 series, as well as newer Fold and Flip models. It may not be available on all devices in the beta program.
