Apple may be preparing another round of price revisions in India, and this time the spotlight could shift to the iPhone 17 series. After increasing prices across several Mac, iPad, Apple TV, and HomePod models last month, a new leak suggests the Cupertino-based company could soon raise iPhone 17 prices as well.

The expected revision comes amid continued memory component cost pressures and reports of limited retail availability across the country.

iPhone 17 Series Could Get Costlier in India

According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, Apple has informed iPlanet dealers about an upcoming price revision for the iPhone 17 lineup in India. The standard iPhone 17 is tipped to receive a price hike of around Rs. 12,000, taking the price of the base 256GB variant to Rs. 94,990.

For comparison, Apple launched the iPhone 17 in India in September 2025 at Rs. 82,900 for the 256GB model, while the 512GB variant debuted at Rs. 1,02,900.

    🚨 EXCLUSIVE

Apple has informed iPlanet dealers that the iPhone 17 could start at ₹94,990 in India from the first week of August, a ₹12,000 jump from the iPhone 17s launch price of ₹82,990.

The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max could also see similar price hikes.

The leak further claims that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max could also receive price hikes, although their revised prices remain unknown. At present, the iPhone 17 Pro starts at Rs. 1,34,900, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max is priced from Rs. 1,49,900 in India. There is currently no information on whether the iPhone Air will be included in the reported price revision.

    Fresh iPhone Stocks Expected Soon

Alongside the possible price hike, the tipster also points to a temporary supply crunch affecting iPhone 17 retail units in India. Apple has reportedly informed its retail partners that fresh inventory is expected to arrive by next weekend, which should improve availability after recent stock shortages across the country.

Apple Already Raised Prices Across Its Hardware Portfolio

The rumoured iPhone price hike follows Apple’s broader pricing revision announced last month. The company increased prices across several products in India, including MacBooks, Macs, iPads, Apple TV, and HomePod devices. Depending on the product, prices were revised upward by anywhere between Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 1 lakh.

Apple attributed those increases to rising DRAM and NAND flash memory costs, driven largely by surging demand for AI-related hardware components. The company has already implemented similar pricing revisions in markets such as Japan, where the iPhone 17 series received price increases of up to 11.3 percent.

While Apple has yet to officially confirm any changes to iPhone pricing in India, the latest leak suggests buyers considering an iPhone 17 may want to keep an eye on official announcements over the coming days.
