Vivo’s S series is set to make its return to the Indian market next month. To recall, the Vivo S1 was unveiled in India back in 2019, debuting in the country’s premium mid-range segment. And while rumours about the S2 have been doing the rounds for some time now, we only recently obtained information about a possible launch date.

Vivo S2 Launch Date in India

According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Vivo S2 launch date in India is set to take place on August 6. Following the launch, the post also claims that the Vivo S2 will go on sale in India on August 11. Vivo is yet to confirm the official launch of the S2 in India.

The Vivo S2 price in India is expected to start from under Rs. 40,000. While previous reports suggested that the phone could use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, those appear to be inaccurate as the phone is expected to debut with the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 SoC, which is more in line with the sub-40K pricing.

Vivo S2 Specifications: What to Expect

The Vivo S2 is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 chipset, replacing earlier rumours that suggested a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. The same chip also powers the Vivo V70 FE and the previous-generation Vivo V60e, making it a capable option for users looking for smooth everyday performance.

For optics, the Vivo S2 is expected to feature a 50MP Sony primary rear camera and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The phone is also tipped to support 4K video recording on both the front and rear cameras, a feature that could appeal to content creators and vloggers in the mid-premium segment.
