AI+ Smartphone, headed by Madhav Sheth, is preparing to introduce the NovaFlip, a flip smartphone for India priced below Rs 40,000. The device is scheduled to reach stores in the first quarter of 2026 and will debut as the opening flagship model in the company’s new Nova Series.
The company is positioning NovaFlip as an option for buyers who want a compact flip phone without paying current premium prices. AI+ Smartphone also aims to attract users who like modern features but prefer smaller, pocket-friendly devices, as the flip segment in India largely features costlier models.
NovaFlip Flip Phone India Pricing and Launch Details
AI+ Smartphone states that NovaFlip will be sold in India in Q1 2026, at a price under Rs 40,000. The company describes it as an entry point into the premium flip category for more budget-conscious buyers, while still offering hardware and software closer to higher-end smartphones.
The NovaFlip is the first device under the new flagship Nova Series, which will later add Nova Pro, Nova Ultra, and a future foldable phone. Through this line-up, AI+ Smartphone plans to move beyond its current mid-range focus and serve customers interested in fresh form factors at more accessible price brackets.
NovaFlip Flip Phone Design, Software and User Experience
NovaFlip will ship with NxtQuantum OS, a customised operating system that changes behaviour based on the phone’s position. When the device is folded shut, it is designed for quick glances at notifications and basic information. Opening the flip is intended to offer a regular full-screen smartphone experience.
AI+ Smartphone also stresses that NxtQuantum OS will not include preloaded third-party applications or built-in tracking tools. The brand says this approach is meant to give buyers greater control over their data, while still delivering features expected from a contemporary smartphone used for communication, media and work.
NovaFlip Place in AI+ Smartphone Strategy
Discussing the philosophy behind NovaFlip, Madhav Sheth said flip phones appeal to users who miss simpler devices and want fewer distractions. Sheth highlighted that compact handsets are easier to carry around and can help people stay connected without being constantly engaged with large displays through the day.
The NovaFlip announcement follows the launch of the Nova 5G smartphone in July 2025, which started the Nova line. With NovaFlip, AI+ Smartphone is moving into the premium flip phone space while keeping the price lower than most existing Indian market options, as part of its broader 5G-focused portfolio expansion.
AI+ Smartphone has not yet provided full specifications, an exact price figure, or confirmed sale dates for NovaFlip, saying these will be shared nearer the Q1 2026 launch window. The company indicates more details on features and availability are expected early next year, as it continues shaping the Nova Series strategy for Indian buyers.
