Even after four hours of uninterrupted gameplay, the G700 remained thermally stable. The Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU don’t run too hot thanks to the air intakes, numerous air coolers (fans), and a liquid cooling solution. Both components stayed well within optimal thermal thresholds, thanks to the desktop’s exceptional cooling layout.

Whether it’s visually rich single-player epics or competitive multiplayer chaos, the ROG G700 delivers blistering frame rates without compromising on temperature or stability. Unfortunately, due to the lack of a 4K monitor, we had to test all titles at 1080p resolution. However, judging by the numbers above, you’d have no issues running these titles in 2K or 4K resolution.

Performance Benchmarks

In Cinebench R23, the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU scored 2,146 points in the single-core test and a remarkable 40,496 points in the multi-core test, outperforming even high-end workstation chips like the 32-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX. This firmly establishes it as a multi-core beast, ideal for heavy multitasking, content creation, and demanding gaming workloads.

In Geekbench 6, the ASUS ROG G700’s Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU achieved an impressive single-core score of 3017 and a multi-core score of 20,878, highlighting its excellent balance of raw speed and multi-threaded performance for both gaming and productivity workloads.

In the 3DMark Time Spy Extreme benchmark, the ASUS ROG G700 delivered a strong overall score of 15,441. In the VRMark Orange Room benchmark, the ASUS ROG G700 achieved an impressive score of 19,731. Based on the CrystalDiskMark benchmark results, the 2TB NVMe SSD in the ASUS ROG G700 delivers blazing-fast sequential read speeds of up to 6132 MB/s and write speeds of up to 5689 MB/s, ensuring rapid game load times, seamless file transfers, and overall snappy system performance.

Software

The only bundled software with the ASUS ROG G700 is Armoury Crate, which acts as a central hub for system monitoring, updates, and customization. It provides real-time data on component frequencies and temperatures, along with access to Fan Xpert for per-fan RPM control, including CPU cooler fans.

RGB control is handled via Aura Sync and Aura Creator, though lighting customization is limited, the motherboard and three RGB strips are grouped together with no individual zones. Presets like static, breathing, rainbow, and music sync are available, but advanced effects are restricted by the system’s basic RGB hardware. Peripheral control and macro settings are also included.

Upgradeability
