The First Descendant has revealed a crossover with Bayonetta that will be available starting on November 6. Released by Nexon in June 2024 for PC and consoles, The First Descendant is a third-person action RPG in which players control humans with special powers who have a mission to protect humanity.
Supporting up to four players, The First Descendant offers a variety of characters known as Descendants. The mission of this distinguished group is to protect Albion and the continent of Ingris, defending them from alien invaders known as Vulgus. This race acts as the antagonists of the game, who, after crossing dimensions 100 years ago, brought chaos and destruction with them. To fight this threat and complete The First Descendant‘s missions, in addition to special abilities, players have at their disposal a large arsenal of primary and secondary weapons and accessories. The First Descendant is a high-octane game about protecting humanity, and soon a well-known name will join the battle.
Bayonetta is Coming to The First Descendant as a Skin
The First Descendant announced a crossover with Bayonetta at Tokyo Game Show 2025, and it will be released on Thursday, November 6. In a press release, Nexon revealed that Bayonetta will be a skin for the character Gley, with a weapon skin inspired by her famous Scarborough Fair handguns. In addition to the announcement, the looter shooter game shared a trailer showing the Umbra Witch appearing in combat to aid the Descendants with her weapons and iconic acrobatics, using Witch Time to unleash a barrage of slow-motion shots.

In addition to the weapon and character skin for Gley, The First Descendant revealed that the crossover will include cosmetics based on Bayonetta’s heel-guns, one of the most unique weapons in the gaming world. The collaboration will feature other cosmetics inspired by Platinum Games’ hack and slash, including an exclusive makeup skin, special social motion, and spawn/despawn effects. Celebrating the announcement, The First Descendant will host a livestream on September 26 at 5 pm PT. The stream will preview the October 1 update, the new Sword weapon, its modules and components, and a brand-new dungeon.
This isn’t the first time The First Descendant has collaborated with a well-known gaming IP. In May 2025, a crossover between NieR and The First Descendant was announced, revealing cosmetics inspired by the popular series published by Square Enix. The content was added in early August, along with the launch of Season 3, introducing skins based on 2B and A2, the main characters from NieR: Automata, to the game.
