Certain Vanguards and Duelists also have abilities that permit healing, though most of them only have self-healing skills. These abilities are still useful for the individual player, however, even if they don’t cover the whole team. Regeneration Domain

Loki

• Strategist hero.
• In-game description: Use Rune Stones to create a magical field that provides allies Healing and converts incoming damage into further healing.

Loki is one of the more complex Strategists in Marvel Rivals, and he can be tricky to master. His combination of defensive, stealthy, and healing skills make him a particularly versatile choice. Though his primary healing isn’t quite as strong as some of his fellow Strategists, Loki’s Regeneration Domain ability is a powerful healing skill that can briefly make teammates immortal when they are within his green cylindrical spell field.

Loki projects his regenerative health area with stones, but the stones can be destroyed if targeted by enemies. If the stones remain intact, Loki’s Regenerative Domain lasts for five seconds, which might not seem like a lot of time, but it can make a huge difference. Regeneration Domain can be lifesaving in crucial game moments, such as when the enemy team unleashes their ultimates.

Harmony Recovery

Iron Fist

• Duelist hero.
• In-game description: Cross legs and channel Chi, slowly gaining Bonus Health.

Iron Fist’s healing ability is one that only targets him. It’s a strong healing skill though, hence why it earns a spot among the best healing abilities in Marvel Rivals. When Iron Fist activates Harmony Recovery, he will channel his Chi to gain bonus health. The effectiveness of this ability depends on when it is used. It’s best suited for use before a fight to give Iron Fist a boost to his health, but once it is used, the player will need to engage as quickly as possible before the additional health starts to decay.

One of the negatives of this ability is the lengthy animation, so it shouldn’t be used when face-to-face with an enemy. However, Iron Fist’s excellent movement ability allows him to kick and jump into high positions, so players can also ascend into the air and use Harmony Recovery out of sight of the enemy team.

Guardian Shield

Invisible Woman

• Strategist hero.
• In-game description: Generate a force shield in front of a selected ally. The shield can block damage and provide Healing Over Time to nearby allies. Enemies that pass through the shield are slowed.

Guardian Shield is not only one of the best defensive abilities in Marvel Rivals, but it is also one of the best healing ones thanks to the various ways it can be used. Sue can create a force field that protects allies, but it can also heal them if they stand close to it. This allows for a fair amount of versatility during a match, as Sue can rearrange her shields at her will. There is a cooldown period once a shield is removed, but the health of said shields will begin to recover instantly when taken down manually.

Teammates can maneuver around Sue’s shield to be protected and healed simultaneously. Shields can also be projected in front of airborne allies. The shields will heal anyone within a three-meter radius, though Sue has to manually target who she is placing the shield in front of.

Healing Flower

Mantis

• Strategist hero.
• In-game description: Consume Life Orbs to grant allies Healing Over Time.

Mantis is a Strategist whose skills revolve around healing and buffing her allies. She also does a surprising amount of damage, making her particularly versatile. Her main healing skill is Healing Flower, but it has to be used wisely, as it cannot be used infinitely like some primary fire healing abilities.

Healing Flower is a skill that needs to be used at the right moment and on the right ally in order to be as effective as possible. It isn’t a particularly useful ability on Vanguards as they are attacking, as it only heals 20 HP per second. As such, players should only use it on Duelists and Strategists during battle, and they should wait for a quiet moment away from the enemy before using it to heal up a Vanguard. It can be handy to use Healing Flower on a Duelist teammate before they dive, but one should remember to use it wisely, as Mantis’s life orbs, which she uses to heal, are limited.

Avatar Life Stream

Adam Warlock

• In-game description: Target an ally for a bouncing stream of healing energy, which also heals himself upon casting; self-targets if no ally is selected.

Much like Mantis, Adam Warlock is a high-damage Strategist who can inflict damage as well as heal. Because of the high damage output, his healing can be inconsistent and weaker than other healing skills. That being said, his Avatar Life Stream is a handy healing skill that can bounce between allies to create a connected stream of health.

This skill is best used when allies are close to one another, as it allows the life stream to bounce between more of them. It also has quite a short cooldown in comparison to other abilities, as players only have to wait 6 seconds before it can be used again. Avatar Life Stream has 2 charges, but it’s best to space them out rather than use them consecutively.

Ice Arts

Luna Snow

• Strategist hero.
• In-game description: Fire ice shards for a short duration, damaging enemies or healing allies while restoring her own Health.

Luna Snow is quite a difficult healer to get to grips with, as players will need a stellar aim to be able to target allies with her healing. Although her primary fire ability can heal allies and damage enemies, it is her Ice Arts skill that deserves a place among the best healing abilities in Marvel Rivals. When active, Luna will cast out shards of ice that damage enemies and heal allies, like her primary fire. However, it does slightly more damage and more healing, with each shot restoring 75 health.

It is easier to hit allies with this ability in comparison to her primary fire, as it is a cylindrical spell. It will heal allies that are hit directly but also those within a 40-meter high and 1-meter circular radius. This can be a great damaging ability as well as a healing one, as it has a piercing effect that allows Luna to hit enemies that are hiding behind others. Ice Arts manages to be an offensive, defensive, and healing skill rolled into one handy ability.

Symbiotic Resilience

Venom

• Vanguard hero.
• In-game description: Generate Bonus Health against damage. The lower Venom’s Health, the greater the Bonus Health generated.

Venom is a Vanguard hero, but his Symbiotic Resilience ability is a top-tier self-healing skill that allows the character to get a significant amount of bonus health when he is being damaged. When activated at low health, the ability becomes even more powerful and will heal him more. For example, if this skill is activated when he is at full health, Venom will gain an additional 100 health points. If activated when his health is almost drained, he will get an impressive 1,000 health points.

For players who just want to heal, Repair Mode makes Rocket the optimal choice. If he keeps shooting orbs, he can do a huge amount of healing in a short space of time. Cloak and Dagger are one of the more popular Strategists in Marvel Rivals, and players will see them both on their own team and on the enemy team pretty frequently. Although this is a dual hero, Dagger is the character who players tend to use most due to her healing abilities. Cloak is useful when it comes to putting some distance between themselves and the enemy and sneaking in to get a final hit. However, Dagger is the healing expert.

Dagger’s Dagger Storm allows her to launch a dagger volley that creates a 5-meter sphere that can heal characters within it. This makes it particularly handy when healing a group of allies. It also has a respectable duration of 6 seconds. On top of that, Dagger Storm can be thrown from a distance, which can be lifesaving in a situation where allies don’t have any close healers. Jeff the Land Shark might be a cute and cuddly character, but he is also a healing Strategist who does some decent damage. Jeff’s primary fire–Joyful Splash–is a useful healing skill, but his Healing Bubble ability is more versatile. Jeff can spit out several bubbles that heal 85 health points when picked up by allies. He can also spit them directly onto allies, and they will immediately absorb them.

The bubbles also do more than just heal; they offer a speeding buff to Jeff himself and his teammates. They also knock back enemies that get close, which can be useful in creating some much-needed space. As well as that, the healing bubbles can heal multiple allies at the same time if they are popped within range.
