Call of Duty: Warzone pits players in fast-paced action on a large battlefield in Battle Royale and smaller, more confined spaces in Resurgence, where they have one goal: survive until they are the last man or team standing to claim victory. With various other teams dropping into the A.O. alongside the player, expect the competition to be fierce, as everyone is playing to win.

When diving into Warzone, players will be scavenging to earn enough cash to call in their loadout drops. While weapons like Assault Rifles and Submachine Guns are currently dominating the meta, Sniper Rifles remain the kings of long-distance combat, especially in Season 2. Here are the best Sniper Rifles to use in Warzone Season 2, along with the recommended builds for each.

CoD Warzone: How To Get Custom Loadouts

Custom Loadouts will make and break a player’s game in Battle Royale. Here is how players can get their custom loadouts in Call Of Duty: Warzone.

    KATT-AMR

First up is the KATT-AMR, a weapon that dominated during the Modern Warfare 3 era of Warzone. When it comes to sheer damage and consistent one-shots, the KATT-AMR rises to the top, boasting the highest damage per shot of nearly all Sniper Rifles in Warzone.

However, the KATT-AMR puts almost all its strengths into stopping power, leaving little room for much else. Its default bullet velocity isn’t particularly high compared to other options, and the weapon itself feels rather slow and clunky. For players looking to pack a solid punch, though, it can be a decent option.

The Victus XMR may be a weapon that flies under most people’s radar—and for good reason. The weapon itself may not stand out on the surface and has a set of stats that are somewhat consistent with many other top contenders. However, there’s a sort of middle ground between the Victus XMR and some of the top contenders in the game.

For instance, the Victus XMR sits behind the KATT-AMR in damage but ahead of two of the top-performing Black Ops 6 Sniper Rifles in the same category. The weapon also has a great sprint-to-fire speed compared to other options but falls behind a few when it comes to bullet velocity.

    290 ms

Next up is the LW3A1 Frostline, a rather prominent Sniper Rifle on the battlefield, especially in Resurgence playlists. The LW3A1 Frostline is the go-to choice for players who want a fast option, as it boasts a quick aim-down-sight speed along with excellent sprint-to-fire speed.

In terms of damage, the LW3A1 Frostline is still great but falls behind several Modern Warfare 2 and 3-era weapons still available in Warzone. However, its bullet velocity is unparalleled, sitting far above most other options. For players looking for an excellent quick-scoping option, the LW3A1 Frostline may just be the best rifle yet.

    • Reinforced Barrel (Barrel)
    • Target Laser (Laser)

On the surface, the LR 7.62 looks identical to the LW3A1 Frostline, sporting the same damage profile for the most part but ranking behind it in overall speed and handling. However, factor in the weapon’s superior damage range, and players will find that the LR 7.62 is a whole other beast.

This Sniper Rifle boasts an effective damage range of 68.6 meters, compared to the LW3A1’s 58.4 meters. This makes the LR 7.62 much better from afar, providing more consistent two-shot and one-shot kills—making up for the trade-off in speed. While it still isn’t the highest-ranking rifle in overall damage, it’s pretty close, making it a formidable option on the battlefield.

    • Target Laser (Laser)
    • Commando Grip (Rear Grip)

While the Kar98K is an excellent weapon that many use as their main go-to Sniper for Resurgence, the weapon itself belongs to the Marksman Rifle category. For those looking for the best Kar98K loadout, head to this guide here.
