Gourds in Black Myth: Wukong are used with the Drinks that players can equip to heal whenever they are low on Health. Some gourds provide additional effects that players can choose according to their playstyle. Some gourds can also be upgraded, which increases the capacity of the Sips that one can take. The
Old Gourd
is the starting gourd that players can upgrade to the
Medicine Master Gourd
from the Shen Monkey using
Luojia Fragrant Vine
. For the final upgrade to Supreme Gourd, players will need to talk to the Old Man NPC near the
Rakshasa Palace
Keeper’s Shrine in the fifth chapter, and he will increase the capacity of the gourd to 10.

For the Plaguebane Gourd, you must first acquire the Old Rattle Drum and use it in three areas in the second chapter to trigger a fight with the Mad Tiger boss. Upon defeating the boss, look around the boss arena for a chest with the gourd inside. |

You can purchase this drink from the Shen Monkey at the start of the third chapter. The Shen Monkey is located in Bamboo Grove but moves to the Zodiac Village if you have completed Chen Loong’s quest. This gourd can be upgraded as well. |

From the Mindfulness Cliff Keeper’s Shrine in Valley of Ecstasy, take a few steps forward and drop down as soon as you are on the wooden plank. Follow the straightforward path ahead until you reach a cave with a wooden chest on the right with the Fiery Gourd. |

From the Verdure Bridge Keeper’s Shrine in Webbed Hollow, cross the small broken wooden bridge and head left to initiate a cutscene. After the cutscene finishes, head inside the doorway on the right to find multiple chests inside a small room. One of the chests holds the gourd. |

The Stained Jade Gourd is a missable gourd that players can acquire in the Purple Cloud Mountain Secret Area in the fourth chapter. In this secret area, players can find The Scorpionlord boss. Defeating him will reward the player with the gourd. |

You can purchase this from the Shen Monkey at the start of the fifth chapter. However, you will need the Buddha’s Left Hand, which drops from Baw-Li-Guhh-Baw, and the Buddha’s Right Hand, which drops from a boss with the same name as the item. |
