All Poogies in the Canalta Timberland Region
Of the 27 Poogies found in Canalta Timberland, the majority of them are scattered around Mt. Canalta. In contrast, the southern regions of Canalta Timberland have almost no Poogies to speak of.
Due to the large Poogie concentration, you’ll want to constantly scan your surroundings while exploring the mountain. Additionally, you’ll want to complete Thea’s first side story to unlock the Poogie hint system. It’s also recommended that you complete the story until you unlock the Canyne, as it’ll be a super helpful Monstie for running around this area.
Mt. Canalta is the most dangerous part of Canalta Timberland, so make sure you’re prepared to fend off powerful Monsties. This includes while flying, as the flying monsters patrolling the mountain will attack you in the air.
All Canalta Timberland Poogie Locations
Poogie #1 — By the Start of the River
Bypassing Sheparden Village and heading up to the start of the Canalta Timberland river will lead players to this Poogie. It will be on a small plot of land on the right side of the river.
Poogie #2 — By the Waterfall near Sheparden
By following the river south of Sheparden to the village, players will come across this Poogie next to a waterfall. It will be beneath the log bridges on the path to the village, making it easiest to spot for players who are traveling north toward the village.
Poogie #3 — Near Howlinyowl Forest Entrance
This Poogie can be found sleeping or standing on the ledge in front of the entrance to Howlinyowl Forest. It is almost directly north of the Cataracts Crossroads Catavan Stand. Make sure to look for it carefully, as its yellow and green coloring helps it blend into the surrounding environment.
Poogie #4 — Behind the Howlinyowl Forest Tree
You’ll find this Poogie resting on a small ledge next to the large tree in the Howlinyowl Forest. There will be a Feral Monstie in this area, but it will mostly stick to the north side of the tree. Travel around the southern half of the tree to reach this Poogie safely.
Poogie #5 — West of the Cataracts Lookout Point
Players can reach this Poogie by flying to the Lookout Point: Cataracts Catavan Stand and traveling to the west border. It will be near the wall on the lowest part of this area.
Poogie #6 — Near the End of the River
Players will find this Poogie by following the western border of Canalta Timberland while traveling south. It will be on the edge of a ledge overlooking the river in the center of the region.
Poogie #7 — At the Western End of the River
This Poogie is staying afloat on a rock towards the western end of this region’s large river. The water leading up to this Poogie is pretty shallow, so you can easily reach it while riding any Monstie.
Poogie #8 — On the Stump
You’ll find this Poogie on top of one of the tree stumps to the north of the Blessing Hill camp set up after defeating the Feral monster in the area. To reach the stump hiding this Poogie, players will need to jump across all the stumps before it.
This Poogie will not be visible to anyone looking at the stump. Instead, players will find an icon saying that there is something to interact with on the stump. Interact with it to reveal the Poogie.
Poogie #9 — Above the Waterfall
This Poogie is found on the rocks above one of the large waterfalls in the center of Canalta Timberland. It can easily be reached by flying to it from the Lookout Point: Cataracts tower.
Poogie #10 — Hidden in the Flowers
A hidden Poogie hides in a patch of red flowers next to this statue. While you won’t see it at first, the interaction icon gives its position away.
Poogie #11 — Resting on a Ledge by the Waterfall
This Poogie is found resting on a small ledge to the left of the waterfalls by the first camp in Canalta Timberland. All the walls left of the ledge are climbable, making it easy for players to reach.
Poogie #12 — On a Tall Rock
While exploring the front of Mt. Canalta, players will come across lots of climbable walls. Climbing up the rocky pillar near the edge of Mt. Canalta and the start of Howlinyowl Forest will lead players to this Poogie.
Poogie #13 — in Front of the Twin Waterfalls
Players will find this Poogie in front of a set of waterfalls. A tougher Monstie is hanging out below the Poogie, but thankfully, there are no dangerous Monsties directly guarding it.
Poogie #14 — Right of the Twin Waterfalls
After retrieving the previous Poogie, follow the waterfall down one platform and turn to face the waterfalls. From here, you’ll want to look to the right to see a Poogie on a nearby ledge. The wall beneath the Poogie is climbable, making it easy to rescue.
Poogie #15 — On the Side of Mt. Canalta
This Poogie has found itself on a small rock ledge on the side of Mt. Canalta. Players will easily spot it if they travel up the side of the mountain from the direction of the Dragonreach Mountains: Foothills Catavan Stand.
Poogie #16 — Overlooking the Tree
By climbing up the rocks around the waterfalls at the front of Mt. Canalta, you’ll be able to reach a ledge on the left side of the mountain facing the largest tree in the area. This ledge is next to another small waterfall and is home to a Poogie.
Poogie #17 — Inside an Ore Rock on the Side of Mt. Canalta
While this Poogie is on the side of the mountain, like many other Canalta Timberland Poogies, it is more difficult to find because it is hidden inside a breakable rock. Players will need to find this rock and smash it to reveal the Poogie inside.
Poogie #18 — On a Rock with Tree Roots
Continuing to climb up Mt. Canalta will lead players to a climbable wall leading up to a tall fruit tree. Instead of heading up this wall, turn around to face the rest of the Canalta Timberland region. While looking this way, you’ll spot a Poogie on a small rock with a tree root attached to it.
Jumping directly onto this rock is difficult. Instead, players should use Ratha or another flying Monstie to glide over to it.
Poogie #19 — On Top of Mt. Canalta
Players who climb to the very top of Mt. Canalta will be rewarded with a hidden Poogie. All you need to do is walk around until the interact icon appears, then press it to reveal the Poogie.
Poogie #20 — By the Catavan Stand for Narrow Passage: Opening
Fast traveling to the Narrow Passage: Opening Catavan Stand and walking forward is the easiest way to find this Poogie. It will be at the northern edge of the ledge by two big trees.
Poogie #21 — Beneath the Rock in the East
Unless you smash every ore deposit you see, you may never know that this specific one is home to a Poogie! You can reach this ledge simply by climbing up the wall next to it. Smash the rock, and the Poogie is yours.
Poogie #22 — South of the Mt. Canalta Lookout Point
When scouting the area at the Mt. Canalta Lookout Point, players will notice a chest on a small hill to the south. What is more difficult to notice is the Poogie blending into the hill right next to the one with the chest.
Players can easily fly over to pick up both the Poogie and the chest. However, they’ll need to do so cautiously, as they can be attacked by nearby flying monsters while doing so.
Poogie #23 — In the Middle of a River
This Poogie is found leisurely relaxing next to one of the small rivers by Mt. Canalta. Since it is toward the base of the mountain, the path along the river leading to the Poogie is clear of dangerous Monsties.
Poogie #24 — On the First Northeastern Ledge
By traveling to the Mt. Canalta Lookout Point and facing north, players will spot this Poogie on an elevated ledge. The easiest way to reach it is by flying from this Lookout Point straight to the ledge. However, players can also climb up the wall next to the Poogie to reach it.
Poogie #25 — On the Second Northeastern Ledge
Players will find this Poogie resting on a ledge overlooking the northern border of Canalta Timberland. This ledge will be the lowest one in the area, so you might need to drop from a few higher ledges to find it.
Poogie #26 — On the Back of Mt. Canalta
While wandering around the back of Mt. Canalta, players will find this Poogie on top of a wall that can be climbed. While it is easy to reach, there will be a strong Monstie hanging around the bottom of the wall.
Poogie #27 — In the Northern End of the Frozen Grotto
This Poogie is the first to have made its home inside a cave system, and the only one that can be found in the Frozen Grotto. To enter the Frozen Grotto, players will have to take one of three paths.
- Drop through a hole in the left part of Mt. Canalta.
- Drop through a hole in the right part of Mt. Canalta.
- Walk through the secret entrance behind the large waterfall near the first Canalta Timberland camp.
After entering the cave, players will need to walk to its northernmost point to find the Poogie.
