ColorOS 17 Beta Update Coming to These Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme Devices: India Closed Beta Underway

Oppo has expanded the ColorOS 17 Beta program to more smartphones and tablets in China, while the India Closed Beta continues for select Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme devices. The move comes weeks after the company confirmed that eligible OnePlus and Realme smartphones will transition to ColorOS with Android 17, replacing OxygenOS and Realme UI in future software releases.

The latest beta expansion gives more users early access to Oppo’s next-generation Android skin ahead of its stable rollout.

ColorOS 17 Beta Devices in China

Oppo has opened beta registrations for the following devices in China:

• Oppo Find N6
• Oppo Find N6 Satellite Edition
• Oppo Find X9 Pro
• Oppo Find X9 Pro Satellite Edition
• Oppo Find X9 Ultra
• Oppo Find X9 Ultra Satellite Edition
• Oppo Find X9s Pro
• Oppo Find X9
• Oppo Pad 5 Pro

Each device is limited to 300 beta participants, with the rollout scheduled in batches beginning August 11 and August 13.

OnePlus and Realme Devices Join the Beta

The ColorOS 17 Beta recruitment has also been extended to the following OnePlus and Realme devices in China:

• OnePlus 15
• OnePlus 15T
• OnePlus Pad 3 Pro
• Realme GT 8 Pro
• Realme GT 8 Pro Aston Martin F1 Limited Edition
• ColorOS 17 Closed Beta in India

Oppo has already opened the ColorOS 17 Closed Beta program in India for these devices:

• Oppo Find X9 Pro
• Oppo Reno 15 Pro
• Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini
• OnePlus 15
• OnePlus 15R
• Realme GT 8 Pro

Interested users must submit their applications before the announced deadline, complete the eligibility process, and may be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before receiving the beta update.

Since this is an early beta build, Oppo recommends installing it only on a secondary device, as users may encounter bugs, performance issues, and app compatibility problems.

What to Expect From ColorOS 17

Although Oppo has not officially announced the complete feature list, early beta builds suggest that ColorOS 17 will introduce a refreshed interface with updated lighting animations, illuminated edge effects, improved blur effects, redesigned rounded UI elements, and smoother system animations.

The update is also expected to bring the next-generation Xiaobu Next AI assistant, along with the core features and optimisations included in Android 17.

The expanded beta program also reflects Oppo’s broader software strategy to unify development across Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme, which could enable faster feature rollouts, quicker bug fixes, and a more consistent software experience across all three brands.
