Bhopal, March 2, 2025
In anticipation of the forthcoming advancements in technology and alternative fuels that are set to significantly influence the trucks and buses sector, Eicher Trucks and Buses welcomed the Women Transporters Delegation at its Bhopal facility. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to promoting a more inclusive commercial vehicle (CV) industry.
The delegation, comprising women fleet owners and transport entrepreneurs, toured the Industry 4.0 compliant CV manufacturing plant, visited an all-women production line, and participated in test drives of electric vehicles (EVs).
The event featured discussions on industry trends, challenges, and opportunities, aligning with Eicher’s dedication to enhancing inclusivity within the Indian CV sector, as reflected in its ‘Nayi Soch, Naye Raaste’ philosophy.
This gathering created a vibrant environment for women leaders in transportation to exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore new opportunities within a rapidly evolving industry. With the CV sector increasingly focusing on digitization, alternative fuels, and smart mobility solutions, the knowledge sessions addressed emerging trends, industry challenges, and the changing role of women in transportation.
Over the course of two days, delegates participated in a diverse array of activities. The women entrepreneur team also engaged in interactive sessions with VECV Executive Management and Senior Women Leaders, providing insights into significant industry developments.
In his welcome address, Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO of VECV, stated, “At Eicher Trucks and Buses, we strongly believe that inclusivity and diversity enhance business strength and drive growth. The integration of technology and digital solutions is revolutionizing the industry, making operations smarter and more efficient. While we are actively working to improve diversity and inclusion within our organization through initiatives such as an all-women assembly line in Bhopal, we appreciate your collaboration in fostering innovative strategies within the commercial vehicle sector.”
The Indian commercial vehicle sector is undergoing a significant transformation, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of the Seven Cs for mobility solutions: Common, Connected, Convenient, Congestion-free, Charged, Clean, and Cutting-edge. We commend the focus of women leaders on harmonizing new technologies to enhance logistics efficiency while prioritizing a people-centric approach.
This edition of the Women in CV Meet reinforces Eicher Trucks and Buses’ dedication to ‘Nayi Soch Naye Raaste’—a progressive strategy aimed at modernizing commercial mobility,” stated Bhagwan K Bindiganavile, EVP of Strategic Planning, Brand & Communications at VECV.
