Recent leaks from Fortnite are hinting at a brand-new Star Wars event set to run before the end of Chapter 6 Season 4, teasing a special live event. Fortnite‘s litany of crossovers throughout the game’s history have often made sweeping changes to everything from the game’s weapons to the in-game map of the battle royale. Previous seasons have featured the addition of weapons based on series like Dragon Ball Z, Futurama, and Deadpool, alongside map changes like an in-game tribute to JUICE WRLD. Now, a brand-new event based on a beloved sci-fi franchise may be in the works.

Star Wars Is Coming to Unreal Editor for Fortnite

Fortnite has a long history of collaborations with the iconic Star Wars franchise, given its status as one of the most beloved properties in science fiction. Fortnite has featured more than thirty different Star Wars skins throughout the game’s lifetime, both celebrating iconic characters like Darth Vader and Chewbacca and introducing new cast members like Rey and Kylo Ren. Fortnite has even offered in-game lightsabers for players to find within the battle royale as a special melee weapon for its Star Wars collabs. A new rumor now suggests that Star Wars may be coming back to Fortnite once again.

A recent report from prominent Fortnite leaker Loolo is hinting at the upcoming launch of another major Star Wars event. According to the post, Epic Games is currently working on a “new live event” for Fortnite based on Star Wars, expected to be added to the game during Chapter 6 Season 4. The leak suggests that the event may arrive with Fortnite‘s 37.50 update, with the event potentially being tied to new Star Wars content coming to the UEFN. Loolo does not clarify a specific release date for the event, though he does suggest that it will not be the end-of-season event.

Fortnite May Be Getting a New Star Wars Event

Fortnite‘s rumored new Star Wars event could have plenty to work with, given Epic Games’ previous reveals for the franchise. Epic Games first teased the new collaboration earlier this year, confirming that Fortnite would add Star Wars-themed content to the UEFN as part of its June “State of Unreal” broadcast. The developer also potentially gave fans a taste of what could be possible within the UEFN Star Wars update, with a fully AI-voiced Darth Vader being added to Fortnite for a limited time.

Fortnite reveals a new game mode called Blitz Royale is coming on June 18.

While fans await Fortnite and Star Wars‘ next big crossover, the battle royale is giving its players plenty to be excited about with its newest updates. Power Rangers has served as the biggest spotlight crossover throughout the ongoing season, with both individual Ranger skins and an in-game Megazord added to Fortnite. Next month’s “Fortnitemares” event has also seen some exciting rumors, with hints about Scooby-Doo and Jason Voorhees skins among others. Fortnite fans should have lots to look forward to from the shooter throughout the rest of the year.
