Google has officially offered the first look at its upcoming Pixel 11 Pro, confirming that the Made by Google launch event will take place on August 12. Ahead of the keynote, the company has teased the flagship in a new Gold colourway while revealing a redesigned camera bar featuring a glowing light element called Pixel Glow.
The teaser also highlights Gemini Intelligence, indicating that AI will once again take center stage across Google’s next-generation Pixel lineup.
Google Launch Date in India
Google will host its next hardware event in New York City on August 12. Indian viewers will be able to watch the livestream on August 13 at 3:30 AM IST. The company has already begun promoting pre-order offers in select global markets, while India-specific launch offers are expected to be announced closer to launch.
Google Pixel 11 Series Lineup and Expected Pricing
Google is expected to unveil four smartphones during the event:
- Google Pixel 11
- Google Pixel 11 Pro
- Google Pixel 11 Pro XL
- Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold
Recent leaks also suggest Google will drop the 128GB storage variant, making 256GB the new base storage across the lineup. This change is expected to be accompanied by higher starting prices.

While Indian pricing remains under wraps, the Pixel 11 series is expected to debut in the premium flagship segment, with the standard Pixel 11 likely starting at under Rs. 1 lakh.
Pixel Glow Takes Center Stage
The biggest surprise from Google’s teaser is the introduction of Pixel Glow. The new hardware element appears as a glowing light integrated into the Pixel 11 Pro’s camera bar, positioned alongside the camera sensors.
Although Google hasn’t revealed its exact functionality, industry speculation suggests Pixel Glow could serve as a smart notification light while also replacing the conventional LED flash. The lighting effects are also expected to work alongside Gemini AI, providing visual feedback for notifications and AI interactions.
Gemini AI to Power the Pixel 11 Experience
Google’s event invitation prominently features Gemini Intelligence, suggesting AI will be one of the biggest highlights of the Pixel 11 series. The company is expected to introduce deeper on-device AI capabilities spanning productivity, photography, communication, and system-wide assistance, building on the Gemini features introduced with previous Pixel devices.
Tensor G6 and Other Expected Upgrades
Under the hood, the Pixel 11 family is widely expected to be powered by Google’s next-generation Tensor G6 chipset, reportedly manufactured on a 2nm process. The processor is tipped to deliver improved efficiency, lower thermals, and faster on-device AI processing.
Leaks also point to the adoption of a MediaTek M90 5G modem, replacing previous modem hardware for better connectivity and power efficiency. Combined with the new 256GB base storage, the Pixel 11 series could represent Google’s most substantial hardware refresh in recent years.
