New Delhi, June 20th, 2025: Highway Roop Precision Technologies Limited (“Highway Roop”) has appointed Dharmesh Arora as its Chief Executive Officer, adding one of the automotive industry’s most experienced leaders to guide the company through its next phase of growth and global expansion.
Arora joins Highway Roop from the Schaeffler Group, where he served as Regional CEO for Asia Pacific after a successful seven-year tenure as CEO of Schaeffler India. His career spans over three decades with notable roles at General Motors, Schaeffler, and Maruti Suzuki India.

Highway Roop is a newly formed global automotive components platform, created through the integration of Highway Industries Limited and Roop Automotives Limited. This strategic union combines decades of engineering expertise, manufacturing capabilities, and established customer relationships from both companies, resulting in a diverse product portfolio that includes forged and precision-machined components, steering assemblies, and powertrain systems for electric, hybrid, and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
This integration enables Highway Roop to achieve greater operational scale, open up cross-selling opportunities, and access a broader base of global OEM and Tier 1 customers. With synergies in product development and market outreach, the platform is poised to play a significant role in supporting the automotive industry’s shift towards electrification and localized supply chains.

“Dharmesh brings valuable operational expertise and extensive global industry experience. Under his leadership, Highway Roop will emphasize growth acceleration, operational excellence, and product innovation,” stated Mohit Oswal, Non-Executive Chairman of Highway Roop. “With our combined strengths and established relationships with global customers, I am confident that Dharmesh will lead the platform into its next chapter.”
In response to his appointment, Dharmesh Arora commented, “I am honored to join Highway Roop at such an exciting time in India’s automotive sector. The platform’s integrated manufacturing capabilities, diverse product range, and global reach provide a strong foundation for growth. I look forward to collaborating with the talented team to create long-term, sustainable value for our customers and stakeholders.”
As India’s automotive sector undergoes rapid transformation, driven by electrification, localisation, and shifts in global supply chains, Highway Roop’s integrated platform is positioning itself as a key partner to both global and domestic original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across various mobility segments. The company will continue to explore strategic acquisitions to further strengthen its position within the evolving automotive components landscape.
