Kofun are tombs in Assassin’s Creed Shadows that challenge the wits of players who dare venture into them in search of rewards. Although entry into most of the Kofun is pretty easy, the Takagi Kofun is particularly difficult since it’s located in the middle of an enemy castle. There are also enemies present within the kofun itself, so players will need to have good equipment on Yasuke before venturing inside to get rewards from its legendary chest.

How to Enter Takagi Kofun in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Takagi Kofun can be found inside the Takagi Castle, located in the Kanki Burned Fields area of the Harima region in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Players need to switch to Yasuke before entering the area. After that, simply shoulder bash through a few castle doors and take down the enemies around the kofun’s entrance. You can clear all the enemies in the castle, but it’s not required to enter Takagi Kofun.
Once all the enemies around the kofun’s entrances are eliminated, grab an explosive jar nearby and drop it into the entryway. Now, use Yasuke’s bow to blow up the jar, opening the entrance to Takagi Kofun.
Takagi Kofun Solution
Takagi Kofun will require Yasuke to face off against enemies, as well as blow up a few cave walls here and there. It’s a comparatively short kofun, but it can get confusing as players go deeper into it. So, here’s how you can complete Takagi Kofun in AC Shadows and get the legendary chest at the end.
- After descending the kofun stairs, players will need to take out a few enemies in a large room.
- Look to the right, and there will be a pathway next to an enemy flag covered with bamboo. Head through that pathway and climb up the platform on the right.
- Head through the crawlspace and defeat an archer waiting on the other side. Now, keep following the cavern until you stumble upon another group of enemies.
- After eliminating the enemies, grab an explosive jar from the room on the left and place it before the weak wall towards the right of the bloodied slop.
- Once the wall is blown, head through another crawlspace until you arrive in a room with a large crate.
- Head further down into this room and move a crate blocking an entrance to a hidden room. Before going into the hidden room, drag the crate into the main chamber and position it in a way that will make platforms for Yasuke to use to reach the upper section of the area.
- Now, grab an explosive jar from the hidden room, use the platforms to get near the upper section, and throw the jar over it.
- After the explosion, the cave wall will crumble, allowing Yasuke to enter another crawlspace to reach the next area.
- Now, keep following the cave until you stumble upon the last set of enemies. Defeat them and use the explosive jar to destroy the cave wall on the left to reach the legendary chest in Takagi Kofun.
Takagi Kofun Rewards
Opening the legendary chest in Takagi Kofun will grant players Death’s Bloom, a legendary teppo for Yasuke. Players will also get a unique perk that allows quick reload on a teppo, which can be engraved later on any other legendary teppo Yasuke has.
After taking the rewards, players can slide down the slope and exit the Takagi Kofun in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
