Kay Vess may not be a Jedi in Star Wars Outlaws, but she has an enviable array of weapons, gadgets, and tools at her disposal that help her and her furry friend, Nix, survive the many planets players can explore in the game. Some of these gadgets include grenades and Bacta vials, the latter of which are essential for healing any injuries.
Given how important health is in an action-adventure game like Star Wars Outlaws, it is important that players hold as many healing items as they can. To increase Kay’s carry capacity and keep her out of harms way for longer, players should unlock the Scoundrel’s Pouch as soon as possible. For this upgrade, players will need to know how to get Durafiber Fabric in Star Wars Outlaws, as it is an essential crafting material for this ability.
How To Get The Scoundrel’s Pouch in Star Wars Outlaws
Like any of the other craftable upgrades players can get their hands on in Star Wars Outlaws, the Scoundrel Pouch will require Kay to discover and interact with the associated Expert, as well as collect the necessary components to put it together. Thankfully, the Scoundrel’s Pouch is an ability you can acquire early in the game, as it is granted by one of the first experts you encounter, The Mechanic. Once you have completed the intel chain for the Mechanic, you can unlock the Scoundrel’s Pouch by collecting the following materials:
- One Durafiber Fabric
- Eight Coarseweave
- Four Robuma Leather
The first item requires Kay to go to a specific place to get it, however the last two are far easier to find in Star Wars Outlaws. For Coarseweave, this is one of the more common resources you’ll encounter in the game, so simply loot every item you can, whether by yourself or by using Nix to fetch it for you, until you collect enough. Robuma Leather, however, is a little rarer in the game, and will most likely be found in settlements controlled by the Pyke syndicate. So, if you have good favor with the Pyke clan, one option is to simply walk into their base in the main city and take a look around. Alternatively, Toshara has a Pyke-controlled area in the south-western section of the planet’s map in the game. Durafiber Fabric, on the other hand, is in one particular spot, which we will explain below.
How To Get Durafiber Fabric in Star Wars Outlaws
Unlike some other essential materials for upgrades, like the Smoke Bomb Compressor, Durafiber Fabric is a relatively simple item to acquire, as it doesn’t require a significant amount of traversal, puzzle-solving, or enemies to overcome. In saying that, there are a few facets of the search to bear in mind as you embark on the journey for this vital resource.
As indicated in the map above, Durafiber Fabric can be found on the western side of Toshara, and is located within a small Crimson Dawn settlement. To get there, however, you’ll first need to make use of the speed boost on Kay’s speeder. From the location shown on the map, players will need to follow the winding road in an uphill direction, passing a lighthouse-like building, until they come to a corner covered in bright red rock. From there, Kay will want to turn this corner and approach the ramp ahead at full speed, then use the speed boost as she ascends the ramp, and jump the significant gap to the other side.
Once the jump is completed, Kay can dismount the Speeder and proceed to climb up the wall directly across from the landing spot. Once on top, continue along the path, climb the small ledge, then jump the gap to the right as the path ends. You can also drop below and make use of the viewpoint, as there’s another climbable wall to the right. After you clear the gap, continue along the path, climb the final wall and venture to the left. The path ends in another gap, so you’ll need to jump over that to reach the Crimson Dawn camp.
The camp is not heavily guarded, so you could easily get through it without sneaking, but, of course, stealth is always an option. You’ll have four adversaries to take care of, then you can proceed through the door on the other end of the clearing. Once in the room, there will be a chest that contains the Durafiber Fabric.
If you have the other components when you pick up the Durafiber Fabric, you can unlock the Scoundrel’s Pouch on the spot, which will increase the number of consumables Kay can carry at once.
