Crops in Plants vs Brainrots are your primary weapons against swarms of Brainrot enemies, each with their own damage rate and base income. With new update drops, the game is becoming more content-rich, adding more seeds with likely better DPS and cash per second. Some plants can be obtained with in-game cash, while other exclusive ones, like Commando Apple, are purely premium.
Previously in the game, mutations were just one of the main mechanics tied to plants. But starting from the 1.6.0 update, players can also upgrade them to higher ranks. This isn’t just for fun, higher levels come with useful perks. Here’s how you can level up your crops in Plants vs Brainrots and what effects the upgrades have.
How to Level Up Plants in Roblox Plants vs Brainrots
Upgrading plants means increasing their total DPS (damage per second). This stat, shown above each plant’s head, dictates how strong it is against foes. Leveling up is especially important, since you want your crops to take down top-tier Brainrots quickly, which means more money in the end.
To level up in Plants vs Brainrots, let your crops kill incoming Brainrots on the treadmill until the grey level bar below their DPS stat fills completely and turns blue. Each time the bar maxes out, the crop gains one rank.
Currently, there are five plant levels you can reach in Plants vs Brainrots. Below is a quick overview of how much the damage rate improves with each level.

If all the crops in your base are fully leveled, the total DPS of each tile will increase significantly, giving you an army capable of snagging secrets without paying for premium seeds. The best way to rank up your plants is to place 6 to 7 crops in the last block and let them shoot enemies; don’t add any more to the farm.
If you’ve already planted a lot or your base is full, you can toss extra crops back into your inventory by using the shovel.
If you’re targeting the most profitable mobs, like Los Mr Carrotitos (who also have high HP), you’ll need more than just leveling up. You’ll also want to use weapons and cards. Meteor Strike, Bloom Ascendant, and Doom Bloom are must-haves for your deck. Getting mutations through weather conditions is also essential for buffing your plants.
