How to Move The Rock in Shoreside Shrine in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined
The rock at Shoreside Shrine is a bit of a conundrum for players just starting their adventure in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, but the problem is that this particular obstacle is impossible to move. No matter how hard they try, players will not be able to move it by themselves.
The game basically gives them a clue by saying: ‘It’s a very heavy stone. It’d take more than one young man to move it!’ So, if you reached this part and don’t know how to proceed, read the next section to find the answer.

The rock in question can be moved with the Main Character and Kiefer, once they return from Ballymolloy, and complete its Questline. After reporting back to the King of Estrad, Kiefer will be put in house arrest for a while. In the meantime, Maribel will ask the main character to escort her back to Pilchard Bay.
After a brief cutscene, players will need to talk to their parents and then meet up with Maribel the next day. She rejoins the party, and they will both try to move the rock to no avail.
Players must then exit the Shoreside Shrine cave and meet with Kiefer, who rejoins the party and then, go back inside the cave to move the rock.
With that out of the way, descend to the secret cove to unlock the Ship once more, and travel to Ballymolloy in the Present. This will be the last time players need to move the rock from Shoreside Shrine, since from that moment on, the Ship will remain on the last place where they left it.
If players get stranded on another location by using teleporters and cannot access the Ship, they must simply use Zoom (Fast Travel) to move back to the nearest location and fetch the ship themselves.
