Fortnite Showdown Act I has finally been completed, with Team Ice King securing the first victory of the season. While Team Foundation may have taken the loss, there is still a win for both sides, as both the Ice King’s Vault and the Seven Compound Vault are now unlockable. Here is how you can open both vaults in Fortnite, along with what’s inside.

How to Open the Ice King’s Vault in Fortnite Showdown (Ice King Vault Key Location)
To open Ice King’s Vault at Frigid Fortress, players must first find the Ice King’s Vault Key. This is a Legendary item that can only be found around Frigid Fortress. However, while you might expect to receive it by defeating the Ice King, this is not the case.
The Ice King’s Vault Key instead spawns in one of the many small ruins scattered around the outskirts of the POI, with several possible spawn locations. See the map provided above for potential spots.
Once you have found the Ice King’s Vault Key, head down to the ruins in the far south area of Frigid Fortress, just ahead of the Rivalry Screen. Here, you can interact with the hatch on the floor while holding the key to open it.
Inside the vault, you can find several regular and Rare Chests, along with Ammo Crates and Slurp Barrels for healing, along with a Port-a-Potty that leads back to the surface. Unfortunately, there are no Mythic items inside this vault.
How to Open the Seven Compound Vault in Fortnite Showdown (Seven Compound Vault Key Location)
To open the Seven Compound Vault over at New Sanctuary, players will need to find the Seven Compound Vault Key. Just like the previous key, this item spawns in one of several possible locations, all dotted around the outskirts of the POI.
To find it, head to the 1 by 1 compound buildings, all of which have staircases. The key can be found on the top floor of any one of these buildings. See the map above for all possible locations.
Once you have the Seven Compound Vault Key, head to the bottom level of the New Sanctuary Compound. From here, go to the vault at the far end of the underground section and interact with the keypad to the right of the door. After a short time, the door will open, though nearby players will be alerted as sirens sound while it is unlocking.
Inside the vault, players can find a variety of regular and Rare Chests, along with Slurp Barrels, Ammo Crates, and a Port-a-Potty that leads back to the surface. Players can also find the Foundation’s Power Gloves Mythic here, though it is not a guaranteed spawn.
