Fans around the world have been eagerly waiting to immerse themselves in the grim universe of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. The long wait is finally over, and the game is now available worldwide — at least for those who pre-ordered the Gold or Ultra editions.
Regardless of the edition, players are eager to jump into the game, whether it’s the campaign, operations, or Eternal War mode, and enjoy it with their friends. But how exactly do you invite friends to your lobby? The game doesn’t provide clear instructions on this. Don’t worry, though — the guide below will answer your question.
Inviting Friends to Your Lobby in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
Inviting friends to your party is straightforward, but it’s not available right from the start. You can invite friends once you’ve met your squadmates, Chairon and Gadriel, for the first time in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. After that, follow the steps below to bring your comrades into your game:
- Press the ‘Y’ key on your keyboard, Triangle on a PlayStation controller, or Y on an Xbox controller.
- Select the key icon next to your name.
- Share the five-digit alphanumeric code displayed with your friends.
- Instruct them to repeat Steps 1 and 2, then enter the code in the textbox below the “JOIN THE SQUAD” prompt.
- Once they’ve done this, they’ll be able to join your lobby.
Alternatively, you can enter the code you’ve received from your friends into the textbox to join their lobby instead.
If you prefer not to use the five-digit code, there’s an alternative method to invite your friends.
- Press the ‘Y’ key on your keyboard, but this time, select one of the plus signs below the key icon.
- Your friend list will open, allowing you to invite the friend of your choice to your lobby.
All of these actions can be performed either in-game or from the pause menu.
To invite cross-platform friends, you’ll need to link your account to your Epic account. Also, ensure that the crossplay feature is enabled in the settings menu; otherwise, you won’t be able to play with your cross-platform friends.
You can also invite players you’ve recently played with. Instead of selecting the key icon,
click the clock icon
to its immediate left. This will bring up a list of recently played users and banned players.
