Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the charitable division of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), has reported that it has positively influenced the lives of over 800,000 women through a variety of social initiatives.
In alignment with Hyundai’s global mission of Creating Shared Value – ‘CONTINUE’, these programs are structured around the fundamental pillars of Earth, Mobility, and Hope, aiming for sustainable societal transformation.
Puneet Anand, Assistant Vice President and Vertical Head of Corporate Affairs, Corporate Communication & Social at HMIL, stated, “At the Hyundai Motor India Foundation, we are convinced that empowering women is essential for fostering enduring societal change. Our initiatives extend beyond healthcare and skill development, providing women with opportunities to establish their own sustainable livelihoods.” HMIF’s multifaceted initiatives concentrate on critical areas of social welfare, including healthcare, education, economic independence, and job creation through skill enhancement.
Additionally, Anand highlighted HMIF’s commitment to women empowerment, stating, “In line with Hyundai Motor Company’s global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity,’ we are dedicated to fostering self-reliance among women and providing them with opportunities to create a brighter future. By empowering over 800,000 women each year, we take pride in the impact we have made thus far and are determined to continue our efforts to uplift underprivileged women through ongoing innovation and collaboration with local communities.”
During a recent town hall meeting, José Muñoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, emphasized the company’s commitment to healthcare in India, particularly through the Welfare on Wheels initiative, which aims to make healthcare more accessible and inclusive, especially in rural areas where quality healthcare is often scarce.
The Sparsh Sanjeevani program, part of HMIF, offers healthcare screenings, hygiene education, timely disease detection, and diagnosis, among other services.
