NEW DELHI, 3rd July 2025: India is poised to attract over ₹8,000 crore in clean tech investments, informed key officials of India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2025, which in its 11th edition has managed to attract global leaders from Panasonic, Renew Power, Thermo Fisher, Envision, Schneider Electric, and Infineon Technologies have confirmed their participation

The India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) is organising IESW, which will start in New Delhi on July 8. More than 1,000 businesses from over 20 countries will attend the three-day event, which is expected to spark new manufacturing agreements, gigafactory announcements, and technological collaborations in the fields of energy storage, electric vehicles, and green hydrogen.

India Eyes Rs 8,000 Cr in Clean Tech as Panasonic, Renew, Thermo Fisher Lead IESW 2025 Line-Up

“This year, we have participation from 20+ countries, including India, the USA, the UK, Norway, Australia, Germany, and many more,” said Vinayak Walimbe, Managing Director, Customised Energy Solutions (CES). “From India, too, we will have participation from the Ministry of Heavy Industries, the Ministry of Mines, and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, along with the Central Electricity Authority of India and other government departments.”

State governments, including Gujarat, Telangana, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh, are also on board to highlight clean tech zones, battery parks, and green hydrogen corridors. The governments of Australia and Germany have joined as official country partners and will showcase innovation and bilateral cooperation through dedicated national pavilions.

“These global government and corporate partnerships aim to facilitate smooth dialogue between the industry and various Indian and international departments pushing EV, clean tech, green hydrogen, and battery storage ecosystems in the country,” said Debmalaya Sen, President, IESA.

“IESW 2025 promises to be more expansive, spotlighting non-traditional storage technologies and featuring keynote addresses, panel discussions, workshops, the IESA Industry Excellence Awards, and unmatched networking across the value chain.” he added

IESW 2025 will also spotlight the next frontier of energy storage technologies, including Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries (VRFB), solid-state, sodium-ion, and lithium-sulphur batteries, as India looks to build a diversified, resilient battery supply chain.

One of the event’s key goals is to showcase Indian companies and solutions to the global battery and storage community while easing the entry of international firms into India’s rapidly expanding clean tech market.

“We are delighted and honoured to be the partner country at IESW 2025, which has established itself as a premier platform for advancing collaboration and innovation across green energy, batteries, hydrogen, and mobility,” said Vinod Kumar N, Senior Director (Trade & Investment), Austrade. “Australia and India share a common vision of a low-carbon and sustainable future, and we are encouraged by the opportunities created through partnerships between our industries.”

With battery demand expected to surge tenfold by 2030 and green hydrogen emerging as the next major export frontier, IESW 2025 is all set to be a key platform for stakeholders from India’s clean energy journey to engage fruitfully.

The momentum around the event reflects a broader national shift as India scales domestic manufacturing under Make in India and PLI schemes and eyes leadership in the global energy transition. The partnerships, technologies, and investments forged next week could help define India’s clean tech future for decades to come.
