Chennai, March 11, 2025: Raptee.HV has achieved a significant milestone with the ARAI certification for its T30 motorcycle, making it India’s first electric two-wheeler with high-voltage technology—the same advanced system used in electric cars. This certification also makes the T30 the only electric two-wheeler in India compatible with CCS2 DC fast charging standards, allowing it to use the existing electric car charging infrastructure.

ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) is the country’s premier certification body, and its approval is essential for any vehicle to be road-legal and registered in India. Since its inception in 2019, Raptee.HV has been committed to revolutionizing electric mobility by bringing globally advanced high-voltage EV technology to the Indian two-wheeler market at an optimized cost.
Rapid Growth & Market Demand
Since its launch in October 2024, Raptee.HV has received over 8,000 registrations, positioning the company to achieve its first-year sales target of $25 million. Dinesh Arjun, CEO & Co-Founder of Raptee.HV, stated: “We are setting a precedent here, and we believe the entire motorcycle ecosystem will eventually transition to high-voltage technology, just like the electric car industry. Developing a new HV architecture from the ground up required us to innovate across the board—not just in subcomponents but also in performance, safety, and validation standards. We also worked closely with suppliers and regulatory bodies to establish new benchmarks. While it took us six years to develop our first high-voltage motorcycle, our platforms are now in place to launch a new model every 12 months moving forward.”
T30: A Game-Changer for the Industry
The T30 is designed to deliver a riding experience superior to a 300cc ICE motorcycle, thanks to its high-voltage powertrain, advanced vehicle dynamics, and industry-leading software features. One of its standout achievements is price parity with 300cc ICE motorcycles. At ₹2.39 lakh (ex-showroom), the T30 competes directly with petrol bikes, while EV incentives and lower ownership costs make it an even more attractive option.
Jayapradeep Vasudevan, CBO of Raptee.HV, commented:“This ARAI certification is the ultimate validation of the six years of hard work our team has put in. Creating an entirely new high-voltage technology for electric two-wheelers has allowed us to overcome major EV adoption barriers, including charging anxiety and reliability concerns. The T30’s globally proven high-voltage system, combined with our customer-centric ownership initiatives, ensures a premium riding experience. We will begin deliveries in Chennai and Bangalore, with a phased expansion to other markets. While our primary focus is India, T30’s compatibility with global DC fast chargers and its competitive pricing make it a strong contender in international markets as well. We are excited to introduce a new era of motorcycling to our customers.”
Charging Convenience & Reliability
The T30 sets a new benchmark in EV charging convenience, both at home and on the go. It is the first and only two-wheeler in India to access the country’s growing DC fast-charging network, currently at 22,000+ stations and expanding.
Additionally, Raptee.HV has introduced industry-leading home charging solutions, including:
- Fastest home charging speeds in its segment
- Most powerful onboard charger
- Lightest and most portable external charging cable
Addressing reliability concerns, the T30’s battery technology matches the durability standards of electric cars, allowing Raptee.HV to offer an industry-best 8-year battery warranty. With its unparalleled advantages over both ICE and existing EV motorcycles, the T30 is poised to disrupt the Indian and global two-wheeler markets.
Expansion & Investment Plans
Raptee.HV successfully raised funding in October 2023, led by Blue Hill Capital and Artha 99, along with several Indian and international family offices. The company is now in talks to raise $19 million to support its working capital needs and aggressive expansion plans.
With its breakthrough high-voltage technology, superior performance, and global charging compatibility, the T30 is set to redefine the future of electric motorcycling.
