OriginOS 7 Update: What Users Should Know

The announced dates represent iQOO’s planned rollout schedule, and the actual availability may vary. Users can check for the update by navigating to their phone’s Settings and opening the system software update section.

Carrier-exclusive models are excluded from the announced schedule. Their update timelines will be determined by the respective carriers.

OriginOS 7 is based on Android 17 and is expected to bring Vivo and iQOO users the latest software experience. However, specific features and their availability may vary depending on the smartphone model.

iQOO 16 to Launch With OriginOS 7 in India

Meanwhile, iQOO has confirmed that the iQOO 16 will launch in India soon. The upcoming flagship is expected to be the brand’s first smartphone in the Indian market to ship with OriginOS 7 based on Android 17 preinstalled.

Unlike eligible existing devices, which will receive the software through a subsequent update, the iQOO 16 is expected to offer the new operating system straight out of the box.

With the rollout extending into early 2027, iQOO users will need to wait for their respective update windows to experience OriginOS 7 on their smartphones.
