
MUMBAI, June 10, 2025 – Vikas Singh has been named Managing Director of Greaves Electric Mobility Limited (GEML), Greaves Cotton’s electric mobility division, with effect from June 2, 2025.
Singh will spearhead the company’s next phase of growth and transformation, with the existing leadership team reporting directly to him.
A seasoned professional with leadership experience across Indian and multinational corporations, Singh brings with him a proven track record of driving expansion in consumer-facing sectors. His expertise in navigating regulated industries is expected to play a key role as GEML sharpens its focus on smart and sustainable mobility solutions in India’s dynamic EV market.
An alumnus of the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, Singh’s appointment aligns with GEML’s long-term strategy of accelerating India’s transition to electric transportation.
“In line with our strategic vision and continued focus on strengthening leadership for future growth, the Board of Greaves Electric Mobility Limited has approved the appointment of Vikas Singh as Managing Director,” the company said in a statement.

GEML is a subsidiary of Greaves Cotton Limited, one of India’s oldest engineering companies, with a legacy dating back to 1859. Traditionally known for its presence in diesel engines and industrial solutions, Greaves has in recent years pivoted towards clean tech and sustainable mobility. With India’s electric vehicle sector entering a phase of accelerated adoption, GEML is positioning itself to play a pivotal role in shaping the country’s green mobility ecosystem under Singh’s leadership.
