MediaTek has added the Dimensity 7500 to its Dimensity 7000 series lineup. The new chipset focuses on stronger on-device AI while improving performance, camera support, display and connectivity. It is aimed at mid-range and premium mid-range smartphones that need efficient hardware. The processor is positioned against Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen family in the same price segment.

The Dimensity 7500 is very close to the Dimensity 7400 in overall design, yet offers slightly higher AI capability on paper. MediaTek keeps the familiar feature mix for this class, while trying to raise real-world responsiveness. The company claims that everyday tasks, gaming and media playback all gain from the updated platform.

MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Chip Announced for Next-Gen Mid-Range Phones

MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Architecture and Core Specifications

The MediaTek Dimensity 7500 uses TSMC’s 4nm (N4P) process, which is designed for better power efficiency. The chip features an 8-core Arm C1 CPU with two performance clusters. There are 4 x 2.6 GHz Arm C1 Pro cores and 4 x 2.0 GHz Arm C1 Nano cores. Graphics duties are handled by an Arm Mali-G625 MC2 GPU.

    CPU 8-core Arm C1 CPU
    CPU Cores 4 x 2.6 GHz (Arm C1 Pro) and 4 x 2.0 GHz (Arm C1 Nano)
    GPU Arm Mali-G625 MC2
Storage and Memory UFS 3.1, LPDDR5
    NPU MediaTek NPU 850
    Modem MediaTek’s 5G-A modem
    Connectivity Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4

MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Features and Performance

Beyond raw numbers, the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 is built for steady day-to-day performance. The MediaTek NPU 850 gives a major boost to on-device AI workloads. Phones can handle speech recognition, contextual replies and notification summaries without relying heavily on cloud processing. The platform also supports speech-to-text and text-to-speech tasks for messaging and accessibility features.

Display handling gets a clear upgrade with the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 platform. Devices using this SoC can support Full HD+ resolution along with HDR playback. Native refresh rate support now reaches 144 Hz for smoother scrolling and animations. Gaming benefits from this, with MediaTek HyperEngine technology and Adaptive Gaming Technology 4.0 enabling gameplay at up to 144 FPS.

The MediaTek Dimensity 7500 also pays attention to connectivity and imaging features. The integrated Release-17 5G modem is designed for higher data speeds and improved power use. Wireless standards include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 for modern accessories. On the camera side, support for up to 200 MP Imagic 1050 sensors and HDR processing brings advanced photography to mid-range devices.

Overall, the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 keeps the core formula of the Dimensity 7000 series while refining several areas. AI tasks gain from the NPU 850, displays can reach 144 Hz, and gaming performance benefits from updated tools. With support for 200 MP cameras and Release-17 5G, the chipset strengthens mid-range Android smartphones without changing their core positioning.
