NEW DELHI, June 11th, 2025: The Spark Minda Group’s flagship company, Minda Corporation Ltd., has announced a strategic partnership with Toyodenso Co. Ltd of Japan to produce cutting-edge automotive switches for the Indian market. Toyodenso will own the remaining 40% of the company, while Minda Corp will own the majority, 60%.
Spark Minda hopes to expand on its current strengths in electronic and mechatronic products and solidify its position in the vehicle electronics market by introducing state-of-the-art automotive switches through this joint venture.
As the automotive industry quickly shifts to more intelligent, feature-rich cars, this new market expands Spark Minda’s ability to provide OEMs in India’s growing automotive ecosystem with intelligent, integrated solutions.
The partnership will focus on designing, developing, manufacturing, and marketing advanced automotive switches for use in passenger cars, two-wheelers, and other automotive segments in India, according to company representatives.
The joint venture has already received orders from Indian OEMs and plans to construct a greenfield manufacturing facility in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The second half of FY2026- 27 is when the new plant is expected to begin operations.
In terms of the partnership’s framework, Toyodenso will provide its sophisticated engineering skills and worldwide technological know-how, while Minda Corporation will leverage its strong local manufacturing presence and extensive supply chain network.
