Motorola has expanded its G-series portfolio in India with the launch of the Moto G Max, a new mid-range smartphone focused on battery life, durability and everyday performance. The handset features a massive silicon-carbon battery, Snapdragon chipset, 120Hz display and Android 16. It also brings several firsts to Motorola’s G-series in India.
Moto G Max Price and Availability in India
The Moto G Max is priced at Rs. 27,999 in India for the sole 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. It will go on sale from August 20 through Flipkart, the Motorola India website and select offline retail stores.

Motorola is offering an instant Rs. 1,000 discount for customers purchasing the smartphone using eligible Axis Bank or ICICI Bank cards. The handset is available in Stargazer, Alaskan Blue and Malaga colour options.
Moto G Max Specifications
The Moto G Max packs a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 33W fast charging, while its 8.60mm-thin body carries IP64 and MIL-STD-810H certifications for dust, water and durability protection. It features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,050 nits peak brightness, Gorilla Glass 7i and Water Touch support.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the 4nm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, paired with 6GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage, with RAM Boost support.
For photography, the Moto G Max gets a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary camera with Quad Pixel technology and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, while an 8-megapixel front camera handles selfies. Google Photos AI tools include Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Reimagine, Auto Frame and Portrait Light.
The phone runs Android 16 with Google Gemini, Moto Secure and ThinkShield, and Motorola promises two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates. Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
