Motorola has confirmed that the Motorola Signature smartphone will debut in India on January 7, 2026. The brand is positioning the handset in the premium segment, and early teasers highlight design, camera and performance features while keeping complete hardware specifications under wraps for now.
The launch date came through a post on X shared by Motorola, alongside images of the Motorola Signature. A dedicated Flipkart microsite is also live, signalling that the handset will be sold through the e-commerce platform once sales begin in India.
Motorola Signature Design & Display
Motorola’s promotional images show the Motorola Signature with a fabric-finished rear panel and a flat front. The display appears to have slim, uniform bezels with a centred hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. The right side carries the volume rocker and power button, while another key sits on the left frame.
That extra button on the Motorola Signature is not detailed yet, but speculation points to camera control use or a programmable shortcut. Motorola could allow users to trigger AI features or other chosen tools using this key, though the company has not confirmed its exact purpose.
Motorola Signature Specifications Leaked
The rear camera island on the Motorola Signature teaser confirms a periscope telephoto camera, a feature common on many premium phones. Earlier leaks further mention a triple rear camera setup, including 50-megapixel sensors and a primary Sony Lytia camera with optical image stabilisation for steadier photos and videos.
The Motorola Signature reportedly appeared on Geekbench, hinting at flagship-level performance. The listing showed a processor with two cores at 3.80GHz and six cores at 3.32GHz, paired with an Adreno 829 GPU. These details indicate a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC powering the smartphone.
According to the same Geekbench report, the Motorola Signature scored 2,854 in single-core tests and 9,411 in multi-core tests. The device is expected to ship with 16GB of RAM and Android 16 at launch. Earlier leaks also suggest stylus support and two colour options, Carbon and Martini Olive.
With the design, periscope telephoto camera, possible stylus support and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 hints, the Motorola Signature is shaping up as Motorola’s premium entry for early 2026 in India. More concrete information on pricing and complete specifications should arrive closer to the January 7 unveiling.
