Nintendo Hotel Partnership Rents Out Alarmo Clocks to Guests
A partnership between Nintendo and several hotels will make it so hotel guests can rent Alarmo sound clocks to wake them up in the morning.
Such is the case this time, with the original Super Mario Bros. getting some love by way of a new Alarmo update. The update adds four new alarms from Super Mario Bros., including the iconic main theme and the Bowser Castle song. A visual theme has also been added, which adds Mario with his classic Nintendo Entertainment System appearance, running back and forth across a brick surface. The update has arrived as a way to celebrate March 10, which has been dubbed “Mario Day” due to its visual similarity to the word when abbreviated as “Mar10,” adding one more form of classic Mario content to the device.
Updating the Nintendo Alarmo To Get New Themes and Alarms
It’s quite simple to update the Nintendo Alarmo to get new alarms and themes. Once a Nintendo Alarmo is connected to the internet, all the user needs to do is locate the “Add Alarms” option. This will check for any updates, and should automatically begin downloading the Mar10 day additions as well as any other alarms or themes the user may have missed. Previously, a Nintendo Switch Online subscription was required to buy the Alarmo, but users only need a free Nintendo account for updates. Those who haven’t downloaded any updates may want to look into doing so to get the multiple additions the device has received thus far.
At the moment, it’s not clear how long the Nintendo Alarmo will be supported with free updates like these. However, given the device’s popularity and new presence on store shelves, chances are users don’t have to worry about it for some time. With such a huge backlog of games and IPs to look to, Nintendo could feasibly continue updating the device for a long time to come.
