Rebuilding Norende is a beneficial, but entirely optional, activity in Bravely Default. This allows you to unlock tons of new items, equipment, and special attacks, so it’s important to know what to build first and to take full advantage of it.

When starting out in Bravely Default, the most important parts of Norende to upgrade will be the Trader, Armor Shop, and Special Move Shop (in that Order). The first two are easily accessible and can quickly be upgraded to level 3 without too much trouble, giving you access to a lot of useful healing and status-curing items, along with some handy armor.

Once you clear the obstacle blocking it, you should get the Special Move Shop up to level 3 as well for access to a good range of special moves.

Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD: How to Unlock All 24 Jobs

Jobs are how players get their skills and abilities in Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD, so here’s how to unlock all 24 of them.

How Rebuilding Norende Works in Bravely Default

    Bravely Default_Norende Rebuild Tutorial

Norende becomes available after Tiz returns from the Norende Ravine with Agnès and Airy to speak with the King of Caldisla. You can access Norende at any point after this by pressing right on the D-Pad and selecting it from the menu that appears. Once you’re in the Norende Reconstruction menu, you can pick from an assortment of shops to build and obstacles to clear, which all take different amounts of time to complete.

The time shown, however, assumes that you’re only assigning a single villager to work on them. Each Villager assigned to a task will reduce the estimated time, with adding two villagers halving the time, and each additional villager reducing it further. As such, acquiring more villagers is crucial to maximizing the benefits of Norende within a reasonable timeframe.

To get Villagers, you’ll need to find player ghosts. These will appear in each of the game’s towns, refreshing every five hours, and you’ll normally find 2-3 player ghosts per town. This means you can get villagers more quickly as you gain access to more towns throughout the story. Touching a player ghost will add a new villager to Norende, so taking the time to visit each available town whenever they refresh will make rebuilding Norende a much smoother process.

All Shops in Norende in Bravely Default

Here’s a complete list of every shop you can build in Norende, showing what items you unlock at each level and how long it takes to build each level. Items unlocked by building shops in Norende can be purchased from the Adventurer NPC found throughout the game (the one dressed in red who also lets you save the game and rest for a small fee).
