Nothing dropped one of its classic cryptic teasers again, and this time it’s almost begging to be decoded. The video shows a blue candle slowly melting on a weighing scale, and once it’s gone, the display stops at 199 grams. No text, no extra clues, nothing (pun intended). Just a candle and a number.

Nothing’s New Teaser All but Confirms the Phone (3a) Lite in Blue

And honestly, the moment I saw that “199g,” it clicked. With the India launch for the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite set for November 27, this fits a little too perfectly. The device is clearly under 200 grams, and the blue candle feels like a direct hint at an India-exclusive blue variant. The shade even looks close to the blue on the regular Phone (3a).

Time to Put the Tin Foil Hat On

But the part that really locked it in for me was the caption Nothing used: “Melting (a) Lite blue candle for no reason.” The wording is doing a lot of work there. The tiny “(a)” in brackets mirrors the way Nothing names its budget phones, like Phone (2a) and Phone (3a). And then there’s “Lite” with a capital L, dropped right in the middle of “Lite blue candle.”

Put that together with the blue wax and the 199-gram reading on the scale, and it stops feeling like a random aesthetic teaser. It reads much more like Nothing quietly saying, “This is the Phone (3a) Lite, and this is the blue color India’s getting.”

So even though Nothing hasn’t said anything outright, the teaser pretty much lines up with what’s coming next.

    Specs and Features

Since the Phone (3a) Lite has already been released globally, there’s a clear idea of what we’ll get in India. The global version runs Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 16, and the company promises three Android version upgrades along with six years of security patches.

The display is a 6.77-inch Full HD+ Flexible AMOLED panel, with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,000 nits of peak HDR brightness, making it one of the brighter screens in its category.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro, paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. Storage expansion is also supported, with a microSD slot that can take cards up to 2TB.

The camera system includes a 50MP main sensor supported by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP additional lens, while the front houses a 16MP selfie camera. The phone covers most connectivity essentials with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and satellite navigation formats like GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo and QZSS.

The battery is a 5,000mAh unit, supported by 33W fast charging and 5W reverse wired charging for accessories. For durability, the device carries an IP54 dust and splash rating and uses Panda Glass on both the front and back.

    Expected Pricing

Nothing hasn’t revealed the India price yet, but with its global price set at €249, early estimates put it around ₹20,000. That would make it the most affordable model in Nothing’s main smartphone line.
