Bengaluru, 21st May 2025: Oben Electric, the maker of the Oben Rorr electric motorcycle, has solidified its strategy to enter the electric motorcycle market priced under one lakh, with a focus on the 100 CC ICE equivalent segment.
With the development of its second indigenous motorcycle platform, codenamed O100, set to launch in the latter half of 2025, the company is now expected to compete with other players such as the Revolt RV1, which has a range of 100-160 km and a maximum speed of 70 km/h and starts at Rs. 89,990 on-road.

Other notable competitors in the sub-one lakh electric motorcycle segment include Atumobile’s Atum Version 1.0, which has a 100-kilometer range and costs Rs. 61,500. Additionally, PURE EV’s EcoDryft offers a 100 cc equivalent electric motorcycle with a range of 106-171 km and a top speed of 80 km/h for Rs. 99,999.
According to Oben officials, the platform was developed at their R&D centre in Bengaluru, and it has a modular architecture that can accommodate various models with different battery configurations.
Madhumita Agrawal, Founder and CEO of Oben Electric, elaborated,: “Our new platform, O100, is designed for India’s daily commuters, with the goal of making electric motorcycles a viable option for every Indian.”

Gupta went on to say that the platform uses proprietary LFP battery technology, as well as in-house developed components like motors, vehicle control units, and chargers.
Oben, which focusses on delivering value-for-money products, has announced plans to expand its network to over 100 showrooms by the end of the year, while still offering the Rorr and Rorr EZ models based on its initial platform, ARX.
