Ola Electric, a Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced that it achieved 344,005 unit sales in FY25, claiming its leading position in the electric two-wheeler (E2W) sector.
According to a recent filing, Ola Electric sold 23,430 units in March 2025 (according to the VAHAN portal), indicating strong demand in both urban and rural areas.
The company also stated that it has “almost resolved the backlog from February and anticipates completing the remaining registrations from February and March by April 2025.”
Ola Electric has also begun delivering its S1 Gen 3 scooter lineup across India. The Gen 3 platform delivers improved performance, efficiency, safety, and dependability. The entire range now features a mid-drive motor and chain drive for improved performance and dependability, as well as an integrated Motor Control Unit (MCU) for increased range and efficiency, company officials said
Compared to the Gen 2 platform, the Gen 3 platform has a 20% increase in peak power, an 11% cost reduction, and a 20% increase in range. It also includes the industry’s first dual anti-lock braking system (ABS) and patented brake-by-wire technology for electric scooters, which adjusts braking based on sensor feedback and optimizes braking between regenerative and mechanical systems, resulting in highly efficient braking across a wide range of riding conditions and a 20% increase in energy recovery.
