May 21, 2025: Hyderabad-based Olectra Greentech successfully delivered an additional fleet of 9-metre electric buses to Microsoft India. This follows the previous delivery of five 12-metre electric buses for employee transportation on a zero-emission route.
Olectra Greentech Limited, which manufactures these buses at its Seetharampur facility, has tailored the design specifically to Microsoft India’s requirements.
The recently delivered bus has a low-floor layout, spacious interiors that can seat up to 35 passengers, wheelchair accessibility, and air purifiers that work alongside standard air conditioning.
In response, an Olectra official stated, “We are pleased to announce that, following the successful delivery of five 12-meter e-buses last year, we have now fulfilled the order for the newly requested 9-meter electric buses for Microsoft’s esteemed transportation partners.”
