OnePlus 15s India Launch Reportedly Cancelled, Nord 6 Launch Timeline Delayed

OnePlus usually follows a pretty predictable pattern with its compact phones. It launches a model in China first, then brings a slightly tweaked version to India a few weeks later. That’s exactly how the OnePlus 13T became the OnePlus 13s last year.

This time, though, things don’t look so clear.

The India Launch Plan Might Be Falling Apart

A new update from tipster Yogesh Brar suggests the OnePlus 15s, which was expected to be the India version of the upcoming OnePlus 15T, may not happen at all. He’s now saying there’s a very high chance the phone has been dropped from OnePlus’s India roadmap, after earlier hints that it was in testing and could arrive around February.

There’s no fresh timeline either, which is what’s worrying for people who were waiting for a smaller flagship from OnePlus this year. The same source also points to a delay for the OnePlus Nord 6, which was expected to be the brand’s next big mid-range launch in India.

What OnePlus Was Supposed to Bring to India

If everything had gone to plan, the OnePlus 15s would have been based on the OnePlus 15T from China, while the Nord 6 was likely going to be a reworked version of the OnePlus Turbo 6.

That’s how OnePlus usually runs its global lineup. China gets the hardware first, then other markets get a tuned version with OxygenOS and some local tweaks. This year, that pipeline seems to be getting disrupted.

The OnePlus 15T Still Looks Like a Strong Compact Flagship

Even if India misses out, the OnePlus 15T itself is shaping up to be an interesting phone. It’s tipped to use a 6.31-inch OLED LTPO screen with a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, which keeps it in the compact flagship category.

It’s also said to skip an ultra-wide camera again, sticking with a main sensor and a telephoto lens. The main camera could be either a 50-megapixel Sony sensor or a 200-megapixel Samsung one, paired with a 50-megapixel telephoto.

Inside, it’s expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, with high-end memory and storage options, and a battery around the 7,000mAh mark with 100W wired charging.

The Turbo 6 Was Meant to Become the Nord 6

The OnePlus Turbo 6, which recently launched in China, was widely seen as the base for the Nord 6. It comes with a 165Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, and a huge 9,000mAh battery.

If the Nord 6 really is delayed, that phone may not show up in India anytime soon, at least not in its current form.

For now, it looks like OnePlus’s 2026 plans in India are still in flux, and fans of its compact and mid-range phones might have to wait longer than expected.
