OnePlus is gearing up to launch its Ace 7 series in China this week and ahead of the launch, more details about the upcoming smartphones are out. The OnePlus Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro will feature high refresh rate displays, large batteries and Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 series chipsets.

OnePlus Ace 7 And Ace 7 Pro: Design And Colours
The OnePlus Ace 7 will be available in black, white and a gradient finish combining orange and reddish tones. The Ace 7 Pro will also come in black and white, alongside a third colour option called Pofeng, which roughly translates to ‘Windbreaker’. This variant has a blue-and-white appearance.
Both smartphones feature flat rear panels, metal frames and rectangular camera modules. The black variants have contrasting camera rings, while the white versions feature a subtle blue sheen. The two phones also appear to share a similar rear camera layout, with a large primary camera and a second circular element.
OnePlus Ace 7 Series: Specifications And Features
OnePlus has confirmed that both smartphones will use its fourth-generation Oriental Screen, developed with BOE. The same display technology is also used in the flagship OnePlus 16.
The panels use customised X4 luminescent material, which the companies claim improves clarity and transparency. They support refresh rates of up to 165Hz across the system, including menus and scrolling, while compatible games can run at up to 185Hz. The display also uses a new LTPO circuit to support the higher refresh rate.
Other display features include the Super Display Chip P4 for handling high frame rate content and Bright Eyes Protection, developed with MedSight and Vision. Li Jie claims it is the industry’s only 185Hz LTPO flagship ultra-high-definition display this year.
Under the hood, the standard Ace 7 is said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5V, while the Ace 7 Pro will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. OnePlus has also confirmed 9,000mAh batteries for the series.
According to Li Jie, the batteries can deliver up to seven hours of continuous gaming at 185fps and up to 24 hours of video playback. Actual battery life will vary depending on usage, screen brightness, network conditions and other settings.
Both phones will also support hardware bypass charging. This feature supplies power directly to the phone’s components during demanding gaming sessions instead of routing it through the battery, helping reduce battery heating during extended play.
Camera specifications are yet to be officially confirmed. However, leaks suggest that both models could come with a 200MP primary camera. The Ace 7 Pro is also tipped to get a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and optical image stabilisation. Both phones are expected to feature 16MP front cameras and ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanners.
