If you were planning to pick up the new OnePlus Nord 6, you might want to check your budget again. Without any official announcement, OnePlus just bumped up the pricing of the device in India. It’s a pretty unexpected move, especially since the phone has only been on shelves for about a month.

When the phone dropped back in April, it looked like a solid deal. The base 8GB + 256GB model started at ₹38,999, and the 12GB + 256GB variant sat at ₹41,999. If you head over to Amazon India or the official OnePlus store today, those numbers look entirely different. The base model now costs ₹41,999, while the higher-end version will set you back ₹46,999.

OnePlus Nord 6 Price in India Increased by Up to ₹5,000

That’s a flat ₹3,000 increase for the entry-level tier and a massive ₹5,000 jump for the top spec.

To be fair, OnePlus isn’t the only brand adjusting its tags. The entire industry has been hit by skyrocketing costs for memory and storage lately.

    Specs

On paper, the Nord 6 packs some serious heat (check our review). It runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, sports a massive 9,000mAh battery, and runs a super-smooth 165Hz AMOLED display. It feels a lot more like an affordable flagship than the standard mid-range Nord hardware we’re used to.

At launch, that feature set felt incredibly competitive for the price. But pushing the top configuration to nearly ₹47,000 changes things. Once you cross that threshold, you’re entering premium territory, and the competition gets fierce.

For instance, if you can stretch your budget just a little further, you’re looking right at the OnePlus 15R. That phone gives you a faster processor (check our performance review), a better main camera sensor, and premium metal and glass build quality.

    Offers

You can soften the blow by getting it through bank offers, which can shave ₹2,000 off using specific credit cards or EMI options. However, even with the discount, you’re still paying noticeably more than the early birds did last month.
