The OnePlus Turbo 6 series is confirmed for launch in China on January 8. The event will start at 7pm local time, which is 6:30am IST. OnePlus has already shared design images and several core features. The lineup includes two phones, OnePlus Turbo 6 and OnePlus Turbo 6V.
Both models share a square camera module on the back, holding two rear cameras and an LED flash. The frame appears matte with matching colour edges. OnePlus Turbo 6 is shown in black, silver, and turquoise finishes. The Turbo 6V is teased in black and silver options only.
OnePlus Turbo 6 design, specifications and key hardware
The OnePlus Turbo 6 is teased with a 1.5K display that supports a 165Hz refresh rate. The frame will be plastic, but the phone carries IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. It will run Android 16 and use an Adreno 825 GPU. Storage is UFS 4.1, paired with LPDDR5X RAM.
Processing on the OnePlus Turbo 6 will rely on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. For security, the handset will include an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. OnePlus states that the battery capacity is 9,000mAh. Charging will support 80W wired input and 27W reverse wired output.
OnePlus Turbo 6V display, processor and shared features
The OnePlus Turbo 6V is expected to mirror many elements of the standard model. It is teased with a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED screen and a 144Hz refresh rate. Power will come from the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset instead. OnePlus indicates the Turbo 6V keeps the same battery, cameras, and connectivity.
On the camera front, OnePlus Turbo 6 will carry a dual rear setup. The primary sensor is 50 megapixels, joined by an 8-megapixel secondary camera. A 32-megapixel front camera will handle selfies and video calls. Both Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V are teased to share this camera configuration.
