OnePlus says it will expand its after-sales service network in India by 50 percent starting April 2026, increasing its total number of authorised centres from around 400 to over 600.

The expansion will cover more than 500 cities, with the company relying on OPPO’s existing service infrastructure to scale quickly rather than building new centres from scratch.

    Wider Reach, Fewer Service Gaps

For users, the biggest change is access.

A larger network means fewer situations where a device has to be sent to another city for repairs. That has been a common issue, especially in smaller towns where service centres are limited.

OnePlus says this should reduce both wait times and travel distance. The company also notes that service quality will remain consistent, with trained technicians and access to genuine spare parts.

You can now get your OnePlus smartphones repaired at OPPO service centres as well, including Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

This will be effective from April 2026.

    Expansion Through OPPO Network

Instead of setting up entirely new infrastructure, OnePlus is using OPPO’s service network to expand its reach.

The two brands have already been operating closely, and this move reflects that alignment. From a user perspective, it simply translates to more service points without much visible change in how support is handled.

    Announcement Comes Amid Global Uncertainty

The timing of this expansion is notable.

In recent months, there have been reports and speculation around OnePlus’ global operations, including shutdown rumours and possible pullbacks from certain markets. The company denied these claims, however, a recent report did emerge that the brand is winding down its operations in certain regions such as the US.

There has also been a leadership change, with India CEO Robin Liu stepping down, which added to the uncertainty around the brand’s direction.

OnePlus, however, maintains that its India operations are continuing as planned, with no disruption to services, warranties, or updates.

    Shift Toward Direct Sales Model

The company has also indicated a renewed focus on its direct-to-consumer approach.

OnePlus says it plans to strengthen its online-first model, which has historically been central to how it built its presence in India. The idea is to stay closer to its core audience while offering competitive pricing and focusing on product innovation for the local market.

Nord 6 Launch Still On Track

At the same time, OnePlus is preparing for its next product launch in India.

The OnePlus Nord 6 is set to launch on April 7, suggesting that the company’s product roadmap in the country remains active. Even Nord CE6 and CE6 Lite are tipped to launch.

    What This Means For Buyers

Despite the broader uncertainty around global operations, there’s no immediate indication of disruption in India.

If anything, the expanded service network could make ownership easier, especially for users outside major cities. Combined with upcoming launches, OnePlus appears to be continuing its plans in the Indian market without major changes for now.
