Vivo has started rolling out the May 2026 update for OriginOS 6, bringing a mix of AI-powered tools, gallery upgrades, charging interface changes, and accessibility improvements to eligible Vivo and iQOO smartphones in China.
The update introduces several changes across the system, especially around photo editing, user interface customization, and smart connectivity features.

At the moment, Vivo hasn’t confirmed when these features will arrive in India.
AI Photo Editing and Gallery Features Get Expanded
One of the bigger additions in the latest OriginOS 6 update is the upgraded photo editing experience powered by Little V.
Users can now edit photos directly from the gallery using voice commands. Vivo says it’s possible to change hair colour, add accessories, and apply new colour styles using AI-based editing tools. The company has also added customizable colour palettes for more personalized edits.
The gallery app itself gets several functional changes too. Users can now customize album layouts, pagination styles, and sorting methods. Frequently used albums can also be pinned to the top for quicker access.
Vivo has also improved search and categorization inside the gallery. Photos and videos can now be filtered based on media type, shooting mode, or date, making it easier to locate older content.
New watermark styles have also been added, along with options to customize watermark parameters.
Atomic Island and Clipboard Features Updated
The latest update also improves Vivo’s Atomic Island interface.
During charging, Atomic Island can now display real-time charging speed and battery information directly on-screen.
Another addition is the integration of Little V Writing into the clipboard menu. Users can reportedly long-press from the clipboard interface to quickly access writing and editing tools.
Vivo has also added a portrait lock screen rotation feature. Instead of manually turning auto-rotate on and off, the system now shows a quick rotation toggle automatically when needed.
In-Car Navigation and Accessibility Improvements Added
Vivo is also expanding its cross-device and in-car features with this update.
According to the changelog, users can now continue using mobile map functions directly through compatible car infotainment systems. Features like route search, parking suggestions, and road avoidance options are supported.
The company has additionally improved TalkBack accessibility features by optimizing focus, labels, and interactive controls.
On the network side, Vivo says it has updated its AI-based network selection algorithm to improve connection stability and internet performance.
India Rollout
Vivo hasn’t announced an India rollout timeline yet, so it’s unclear when these OriginOS 6 features could appear on Indian devices.
