Vivo OriginOS 7 Features
OriginOS 7 introduces Fluid Motion, which is designed to make animations and transitions smoother across more than 200 system scenarios. Spring Animation adjusts interface movement based on the speed and direction of gestures, while Seamless Interaction improves transitions between horizontal and vertical scrolling.
For multitasking, Origin Workbench supports multiple windows, task switching and compatible cross-app drag-and-drop. The feature is designed for select devices, particularly models with 12GB RAM or more.
Vivo has also introduced several AI-powered tools through Jovi AI. The assistant can search information, analyse files, generate summaries and perform supported tasks across connected devices. Snap Note can turn whiteboards, handwritten notes and other captured content into editable documents, while AI Recorder provides speaker recognition, transcripts, highlights and summaries.
Other AI features include Smart Call Assistant, AI Reader Mode, AI Search and Snap & Go. Smart Call Assistant can transcribe calls and generate summaries, while AI Search allows users to find files and notes using descriptions instead of exact filenames.
Apple Connectivity, Security and Gaming
OriginOS 7 expands cross-device functionality with Camera Sharing, Task Handoff and file transfer. Compatible Vivo phones can also work with select Apple devices, including MacBooks, iPads, Apple Watch and AirPods. Users can access iCloud through Vivo File Manager using an Apple Account.
The update also introduces Security Shield, which provides protection against malicious apps, unsafe links, spam calls, insecure Wi-Fi and malicious USB operations. Privacy activity logs help users monitor app permission usage.
For battery life, Vivo has added BlueVolt Smart Engine, Extended Connected Standby, Bypass Charging 3.0 and Battery Life Estimate. The company claims BlueVolt can reduce power consumption by up to 25% during high-resolution Microsoft Teams video calls.
Gamers get Ultra Game Mode, which combines performance, controls, audio and network settings, along with features such as Glare Protection and 4D Game Vibration.
Vivo will roll out OriginOS 7 through February 2027, with the premium X series receiving the update first before it expands across other eligible devices.
